What sort of wizardry is this?! My god, they were SO good right out of the gate, offering a hard rock gut punch to shake us out of the 60s and launch us into into the 70s! LZ forever!!! So glad I finally got to see Robert in 2018. Now just need Jimmy to come around live again. Bring JPJ with ya! People often ask, if you had a time machine, to what era would you go? I would go back to 1969 (I was actually 6 then) as a 16 year old to witness live the rise of Zeppelin.

Now that you've mentioned it you're probably right, but whatever those 2 seconds are there's no doubting that they're the most awesome 2 seconds ever captured live!!

This is the best era for Plant's voice IMO. He struggled live in the late 70's

I'm 51 - and hear Zep I when I was 9 with my 16 yo brother (42 years ago kids). when I was 10, he showed me the finer points of HEAVY when II came out. I was a goner. Bro gave me III for xmas that same year. Next Oct.'71, at age 11, I took the bus at 9am to the 1 record store in London Ontario to buy Zep IV on the day of release. Little did I know this was to be one of the greatest rock albums of all time - but I DID know that this was the coming of age of a true Canadian heavy metal head!
