This is my all time favorite Zeppelin tune. Man you started deep into them. This is a real fan favorite of Zeppelin fans. Great choice!!!! 😎👍✌️ Bozos Right foot, John Paul’s bottom...it don’t get better! This is the blues on acid! I think the word you were searching for is TIGHT! 😂 Page is killing it, but Bonzo is driving the semi!

This song is the 3rd song from Physical Graffiti which was their 6th album and came out in 1975. It's a double album and in my opinion their best. Kashmir is also on this album. Physical is a lot different than the earlier albums. It's a bit more funky in style and even haunting a little. I used to avoid this song like the plague and play the first two songs "Custard Pie and The Rover" and then skip to the next 3 songs on the album. "Houses of the Holy," Trampled Underfoot, and Kashmir." But occasionally I would listen to this song and began to like it the more I heard it until it became a top 3 Zeppelin song for me. Whats cool about Physical is all those songs I mentioned are all time great Zep songs on the first album and then you have a whole other album to listen too. The second album is mellower but still very good. His voice changed because he had hurt it in the early 70's, palops I believe and had it operated on.

They are swinging it. This is what happens when the musicians are listening to each other and know how to compliment each. It's easy to forget that most music done before the 60s was meant to be heard live. Early recordings outside someone like Les Paul, didn't utilize overdubs. So everything was played live but in a studio.Recording really took off in the mid 60s with multi-tracking which allowed for a whole new approach to playing, some of which could be very difficult to reproduce in a live setting.Zeppelin had it both ways. Amazing recordings and god like on stage. Total package.GOAT.

Now, this is what a Rock band is all about. Listen to them alive at any time since their first appearance, is a really fantastic experiance. The begining of Rock and Roll. Creating this tipe of music back them, required pure talent, geniusy and passion for what you do, and they got all that and more. The best rock band ever.

The reason why Robert's voice sounds different here from his earlier work, as you correctly pointed out, is because of a near-botched throat operation that he had prior to the recording of Physical Graffiti. There was a great deal of initial trepidation in the Zeppelin camp when they realized that Robert was never going to sound like he did on the earlier Zeppelin albums again. He managed to get some of the old Viking shriek back for the '77 tour, but after that it was a case of Robert having to re-invent his vocal style, without totally abandoning his trademark Zeppelin Golden God roots. It took him a long time (long after the band had expired) to find the path forward.

Yup..!! He said in inter trust he’s always had throat problems.. even before he joins zepp.. sometime in 73 is when he started to really loose the ability to scream with power. As can be seen in the song remains the same movie. That’s why the immigrant song isn’t played live anymore. And on songs in that show u can really hear him have trouble with the power parts. But still.. a great singer without it.. nothing tops plants voice on their first IV ALBUMS..

@@TRUMP-2024-STF Doing 3 hour concerts sometimes twice a day in the style that he was singing will damage the voice and voices naturally change with age too (think of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen). Liam Gallagher of Oasis used to have a strong voice too but burned it out in a few years.
