Most people focus on Page and Plant (justifiably so), but Zep also had the best rhythm section in the history of rock. John Paul Jones and John Bonham where incredible together.

You want Zeppelin blues - listen to "when the levee breaks" it's a mic drop in history about a true mississippi flood in 1927. The drum intro & Roberts harmonica and vocals are legend.

@@Bobmudu35UK my parents let me go with my older brother and his friend. They were tripping and my brother had to sit on his friend during Moby Dick because he was freaking out. @@dianedavies8291 Fantastic memories! I tried to get tickets for the 2007 London gig, to no avail,It was a lottery system. So I tried to get one from a tout, again couldn't get one. The rrp was £125, black market was anything between £1500 to £5000,but even those sold out within a couple of days. My mate managed to get 4 tickets for £6000. He said they were still the Goat. Bastard! 😉 I was gutted,its almost certainly their last gig ever.

Who were Led Zeppelin? One of the best and biggest influences in rock. They took Blues to the next level but also had folk and funk influences as well. You Shook Me Kashmir Communication Breakdown The Battle of Evermore All these songs are amazing and totally different. I got to see them live back in 1970 when I was 16. Best concert ever!! Cheers 🇨🇦✌

They were very good at taking old black gospel and blues songs and putting their spin on them. Normally I don't like live versions but this is fairly close to the album version.

Jimmy said when started a band he did not want the typical band with one superstar in the front He want a band with all members equally as good And i think it turned out pretty good if i must say. Each member feeds of the other on stage. Do The Song Remains the Same And The Rain Song from the MSG 73 concert slash movie they done they were at there peak there to me
@jamestoddjackson9655
@jamestoddjackson9655 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! The Rain Song my favorite all time song. That concert is Legendary!!!! All 4 are at or near the very top of their instrument/role. John Bonham, The drummer, is widely hailed as the GOAT by his peers, the greatest rock drummers. The bassist John Paul Jones plays every instrument known to man, and in their live shows would play a full orchestra using a Mellotron while playing bass with foot pedals. Left hand Woodwinds, right hand strings, feet bass. Singer is Robert Plant, a top frontman. Guitarist is Jimmy Page, one of the greatest guitarist/songwriters: My advice, listen to everything they did. They are the Greatest Band ever. Down the rabbit hole wit ya!!

Maybe try watching this one on your own time and let me know which you prefer. And I’m not certain what you have aired yet. No matter, you can’t go wrong. Or maybe The Ocean? Good luck 🍀! Before I go I just want to say I enjoy your channel very much! I remember when you first started listening to Led Zeppelin your reactions were so moving because you were moved! After listening to them since 1974, I still get that way. #TrueStory 😏 Spent 3 yrs of JHS having to listen to kids singing Zep, Who & Stones songs the day after they played MSG. 🤗 So my 1st babysitting job in HS paid for my nosebleed section seat in 77 & 78. 🤷🏿‍♀️ Mom had no problem paying for Rush, Queen & Bowie tickets. 🙄 Still it was hard watching everyone in class doing the 👉🏻 'Jimmy Page finger point' for weeks. 😁🐰
