If only they professionally recorded more concerts. Thank God Grant didn't catch everyone who brought a microphone.

Wow. Longtime fans like myself cannot express the gratitude and the thrill of seeing newly surfaced clips of the Mighty Blimp. I did see them three times in 1977. But I would have killed to have seen them in 1971, 72 or 73. I am sure that Jimmy, Robert and Jonesy will also be thrilled. Merry Christmas to you. Thank you so much Eddie & John~ Rob/Boston

Wow, you were very fortunate in 77. My concert attendance didn't begin until early 81, well past Zep but I did see Robert on his first solo tour in Toronto and then saw The Firm in Jacksonville and Plant/Page here in Cincinnati.

Wow I’m astonished this video even exists! Let alone just how fantastic the audio quality is! All I could think while listening was just how much Bonzo’s drumming really punches through the other instruments. It’s fucking fantastic, and I’m not even a drummer I’m a guitarist but I’m more mesmerized by Bonham than Page😂.

John Waters HAPPY HOLIDAYS and God Bless You. This was history in the making. I am a Zepphead and this still blows my mind like day one...the level of intensity of the 1970-1971 was ridiculous. Quite an EARLY PEAK.

Start the video with the fantastic solo from Immigrant Song was the perfect way to give me a heart attack. THEIR POWERS!! I hate it that I'm such a sucker for Zep '71 era but there's NO decent footage of them recorded properly. At least I want a footage with a quality like Bath '70 or RAH. But I appreciate this video so much! Such a new year present for us Zep's fans. Zep NA Tour 1971 were such a powerful tour and one of their best tour.

@@AllWeNeedIsMusic55 Eddie said that being busted by Grant put a bit of a scare in him and shortly after these shows he had a change in musical tastes as he became a professional musician in the LA punk scene and lost touch with the classic bands. Look up "The Hollywood Squares" on KZbin and check out his music.

@@MishaAutos I have some even older 8mm Cine Film from the very early 1960s which was in far worse condition than this one,but had it considerably improved before having it edited and putting it onto VHS in the 1980s,then later onto DVD,and then later still onto KZbin,you can probably see some of it on my channel(?)

This has been upscaled to 4k 60fps. Concerts back then relied on the music, not the light show.

Did you use your own audio for this? If you can you shoudo
@Finatic132 жыл бұрын
It is a mix of Eddie's film and audio recording. His audio ran approximately 20 minutes before Peter Grant stopping him. That full audio is available on KZbin at Eddie's page.
