I am a 64 year old grandmother, got my motor cycle license at the age of 52 and I am now in remission with my 3rd kind of cancer (Breast cancer) and am a true classic rocker!! A few months after having a partial nephrectomy in 2017 (Kidney cancer) I decided to get the my forearms tattoed with my favorite classic rockers. First was my Bowie (Aladdin Sane) then came my John Lennon (photo from Sergeant Pepper time)which was done just before my double mastectomy, a year later I had reconstructive surgery but prior to that I had Pink Floyd (The WALL-the flowers/wall and even a little Pink) and then just this past May my forearms were completed with Led Zeppelin (Icarus and the bands Runes) I wish I could put the pictures on here but I can't! I am waiting for an appointment for my artist to finish my sleeves and then continue across my chest to cover my mastectomy scars!!! ROCK ON!!!

I bought an album at White Front in 1969 for about 4 dollars, opened it and placed it on my Dad's turntable, pushed the button and a new musical experience washed over me. It wasn't until my Mom opened the front door that I realized that I was dancing and couldn't stop. Led Zeppelin has been in my life since then. My late son gifted me with a ticket to Page and Plant with the Egyptian Orchestra at Irvine Meadows. I wasn't able to see Zeppelin but the music was incredible. There is love in my heart for you.

Loud but clear, is the only way... I have an old system that will shake my neighborhood, if I want! But people today don't want to hear anything but 'rap.' I tell them, the only good thing about rap, is that you can't spell 'crap,' without it! Music today is just white noise... Dead sound, proffered by the industry for profit, nothing else. How much of the music of the past 10 years is still being listened to? A lot of people are listening to the 60s and 70s, back when music was alive, real and connected to more, than the basser elements of human nature.

My first concert was Led Zeppelin at Kooyong Tennis Courts in Melbourne, Australia, in February 1972. I was 14, it was summer and an outdoor gig, but the weather was very overcast and threatening. They were the loudest thing I'd ever heard and it was incredibly thrilling. The ticket cost A$3.20 which is exactly what I got paid for my six days/week paper round.

@@rheaferrante7645 Yeah, there are a few bands/artists I regret not seeing either due to timing or budget. The one that really springs to mind is Prince in the 90s. Tickets were A$200 and I swore I'd never pay that much to see anyone. Not long after I paid $350 to see The Stones for the fourth (and last) time. I saw the Half A Who, as I called Roger and Peter, when they payed at the Australian F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne where I live in the mid-noughties and they were really great. A friend and I, while we were high school freshman in ‘80 or so, listened to Physical Graffiti straight for 28 hours. We maybe slept for 2 hours after having a party and unwilling to let the party end or the music die. I was just getting old enough to like their music and we were obsessed with that double album back then. Like many of you, Zeppelin has been such a big part of me that I can mark key moments and experiences in my life with one of their albums at my side. I still listen to their whole catalog praying for a day when Robert Plant will finally relent and agree to a tour. If that happens, I don’t even want to speak about what I’d do to score a ticket. My business, my investments, and some of my family would all be in jeopardy.

If you close your eyes while listening to Kashmir, you will be in a desert with a hot sun beating down on you. Kashmir - fantastic music, great lyrics. Which is why one must forgive the obvious misfact that Kashmir is no desert area, it's mountain area with lots of lakes and greenery. I'm 24 and Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time! I read somewhere that Jimmy Page's ultimate goal with Zeppelin was to create albums that stood the test of time, and I would have to say he definitely achieved that goal! 4M+ views 40+ years after they broke up! There will never be another band quite like them. Where else do you have a band where each individual member is consistently regarded as the best of all time? Page: voted 3rd in rolling stones best guitarists of all time. Plant: voted 13th in rolling stone best vocalist of all time, and 1st by fans. Bonham: 1st best drummer of all time rolling stones. Jones: 14th best bassists of all time, 4 on another list I found, as well. Listening to their music just brings me such an overwhelming sense of joy! I love Led Zeppelin!!!

@@rickilynnwolfe8357 Absolutely, each of these guys were incredible musicians in their own right. Even JPJ, who did not get the attention of the other three, was an accomplished session musician and classically trained- all before he joined Zep (and without him, there's no Black Dog). The band knew all this, which is why when Bonzo died, they knew the band was done. It could have been any of them, and the decision would have been the same.

@@markb20 your so right no band will or has ever reached the heights of Led Zepplin there music of masters made a sound that no band can copy no matter how hard they try. They were truly different from any band thro the century's. Jimmy Page plays like he's from another world , not human like where does his talent come from seriously hes my favorite lol . Robert Plants voice is so unique and versatile thro the years and when he joined Led Zepplin it couldn't get any better he was the cherry on top . He has a very unique voice that just fits with the instrument's of the band .JPJ is the master at any instrument he plays and he knows where to put the notes in songs. When JPJ plays the song ( all of my love) it makes you want to stand up look towards the heavens and salute ! Last but not least the Great Bonzo that a man he could bang on anything and make it sound like music ! He hit so hard that the DRUMS actually sounds better then any other drummer player out there he had the mussels to do it to . With all four of these master musicians together they Rocked like no one can .That was there gift to the world that will never fade👍

It will be many generations before music like this is being created and indeed musical artists/composers/producers such as these are seen again. Their names and masterpieces will live forever.

Music like this will NEVER come again and indeed, it's creators and us, the listeners, are now all turning to dust. But their sounds will live on through eternity and echo back to the earth 8 billion years from now, from somewhere, out there, where it was first created...............

@@andrewsmith2326 Nice Andrew - vocals are surprisingly close to Robert Plant. It's pretty hard to duplicate Jimmy Page on lead guitar - he's just exceptional. Train does a fine job though.

As the fifth child with two older brothers and two older sisters, I was able to get to know different music at an early age. With Led Zeppelin, I have had the longest musical relationship to this day and have been amazed over and over again. Only the great Frank Zappa can top that for me. Thank you shareing with us.

Seriously, you're putting Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa in the same category? Not close. Two distinctly different styles and musicianship. Zappa? No.
