I would recommend the album version. It goes from acoustic guitar to electric, and a tapping rhythm to full drums. It’s really unusual.

Definitely recommend headphones for much of Zep's music -there's so many acoustic fun and games when Jimmy produced those original albums.

Although they do not have their original drummer with them, this is actually the first time that "Led Zeppelin" ever played this song completely thru, live. This entire concert is fantastic.

the incredibleness of this concert can not be overstated. From the orders of the band to the production team to keep it as real and raw as possible, enforcing their belief(which I agree with) that the imperfections are what makes the show different from the last and the next, they are the character and color that paints the memories in people's minds for years to come, and no one paid for a ticket to hear a computer play. These guys got on stage and showed all the rockers of the world what it means to put on a show, that even in their 60's they are deserving of the 'gods' title that people bestow on them, and that no matter the newcomers since their departure from the stage, they are still the kings of Rock and Roll.

20 million people applied for 2 tickets each out of the 20.000 available, the tickets were set at £250 each and all the proceeds went to charity, it was randomly selected who applied by text would be told by text if they were selected to buy tickets. Some people sold their tickets for over £5K to £8K each, i never would of sold a ticket if I got one.

Consider starting a journey with Led Zeppelin from the first LP to the last LP. There will be quite a few commenters that will suggest different songs by Led Zeppelin. By doing this it will bounce both of you around to different years and you will miss out on how they start and how they grew musically. You may even find songs the both of you like that has not been recommended by anyone in the comment sections. Enjoy the rabbit hole of Led Zeppelin. Thank You!🙂

As others have mentioned - any track from this concert is most excellent, dude and dudess 😊. It would be a "gas" (dayum, am I showing my age, or what?) to watch the original of "Black Dog" when they were youngsters, and then watch the song performed at this concert some 40+ years later.

I'm glad you touched on the pacing, how the music changes pace repeatedly; that's what guitarist Jimmy Page called "light and shade". Zeppelin's music enjoyed exploring the dichotomies of fast/slow, hard/soft, etc. and you will find it throughout their catalogue. I'm so glad you've discovered their music and it will be a joy to share your journey.

Love this concert - I have the DD as this was the one and only reunion of the band since John Bonham died in 1980. They did this as they had John's son Jason Bonham on the drums doing a magnificent work. They were all in their 60's at this concert except Jason. Robert Plant born 1948 was 59 years at this concert, Jimmy Page born 1944 was 63, John Paul Jones born 1946 was 61 and Jason Bonham born 1966 was 41 years old at this concert.

I believe people should hear studio versions before live versions. While this is a nice enough live performance, it just doesn’t compare to the studio version. That’s typically the case for these guys. Their studio recordings are masterpieces.

I beg to differ. Led Zepplin live performances have so much more soul. Studio music is too sterile. Live music at this level is pure magic. Some other bands/artists...not so much.

Hello to you both! I love your channel and your genuine reactions, showing your love of music. Can I make a suggestion for another great band to check out? They're called Faith No More and I would suggest the songs "The Real Thing" and "Zombie Eaters" as two great introductory songs by them. I'll keep watching for all the great content, regardless. Cheers to you both!

I got to see Page and Plant in 1997 (ten years before this) in Albany NY. at the Pepsi arena. WOW. The best show I will ever see. I saw Neil Young, Beck, John Mellancamp, John Fogerty, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Cheap Trick, and many more and none came close the majesty or Godlike quality as the Plant and Page tour for Walking into Clarksdale. (They did 2 songs from the album, then 2 hours of Zeppelin classics. )

The drummer is Jason Bonham the son of the original drummer John Bonham. He's also playing his dad's drum kit. Fun little fact the co-founder of Microsoft Paul Allen offered anyone who got tickets through the lottery drawing he'd pay them 1 million dollars for their tickets.
@marktate9555

I went to this - tickets were £125 and you got the chance to buy 2 within a 24 hour window via e-mail invite - amazingly I couldn't find anyone who could commit in time and ended up going on my own - they (quite rightly) made it very difficult to sell on the tickets as you had to prove who you were at the box office and were fitted with a wristband as you collected the ticket. It was an amazing night - I saw them at Knebworth in 1979 and, if anything, they were better in 2007! Jason Bonham was outstanding throughout the set - check out Kashmir from this same gig as example of just how brilliant he was.
