Led Zeppelin is an English rock band. This is blues based hard rock. It's not from a live show, it's the studio version with film clips from different concerts.

Zeppelin was considered hard rock/heavy blues and this song is a reworking of the Willie Dixon song recorded by Muddy Waters called You Need Love. Zeppelin played a lot of blues styles but others as well.

Zep's Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica) and Jimmy Page (guitars, production) were Blues freaks- so when Jimmy formed the band he asked Robert who would only join if he could bring his drummer, John (Bonzo) Bonham- who was into jazz, And Jimmy knew another session player, John Paul (Jonesy) Jones (bass, keys, arranging) would fit. They took their first love, the Blues and decibilised them into Blues Rock. And they then conquered hard, progressive, folk and funk rock, starting in 1969, Ending in 1980 when Bonzo passed R.i.P. But sort of occasionally reforming with Bonzo's son Jason on drums. If you like: Blues- Since I've Been Loving You (Live MSG, NYC, 1973) Deep Blues- In My Time of Dying (Live Earls Court, 1975) Funk Rock- Trampled Under Foot (Live Earls Court, 1975) You get better sound from the audio versions, but live you get IMPACT- charisma, charm, sensuality! Liked and sub'd- Greetings from Canada. Peace, be safe, enjoy the ride- herbal refreshment works a treat with Zep (and Floyd. and Tull.....)

They were greatly influenced by the Blues and did several covers of old blues tracks with a rock twist.
