Led Zeppelin hands down greatest rock band ever! Led Zeppelin over threw the beatles as soon as they debuted, they were the biggest band then. Their debut year they put out 2 massively successful albums (in 1969) "Led Zeppelin I" and "Led Zeppelin II" Robert Plant (Vocals), John Paul Jones (Bass Guitar), John Bonham (Drums), and Jimmy Page the greatest and more creative guitarist ever! I would personally start off with early Led Zeppelin and slowly get familiar with their stuff, some of my favorite tracks off those early records would be..."Dazed & Confused" "How Many More Times" & "What Is And What Should Never Be"...these are some great tracks, check them out 🤘

Greatest band in history!! No bad songs...ever. The sheer talent of this band is apparent as you keep listening to them. Watch their live performances! Robert Plant...vocals/harmonica Jimmy Page...acoustic/electric guitars John Bonham...drums John Paul Jones...bass/mandolin/banjo/keyboards/synthesizer and just about anything else. YES Jimmy used a cello bow on the guitar! Watch live Dazed And Confused to see him use it!

They weren't drugged out at this stage. They couldn't play live like this on LSD. There are lots of good live videos of them to listen to. LZ ceased in 1980 when the drummer died.

Double neck guitar...6 string and 12 string...for different sounds. If you watch live Stairway To Heaven and The Song Remains The Same...both from the same concert 1973 at Madison Square Garden...you can see it in use.

The bongos originated in Cuba in the 1800's. The African bongo is an antelope. The dual necks on one guitar body: Check the number of tuning pegs on the heads of each neck - one has 6 pegs, making it a 6-string, good for lead, melodies. The other is a 12-string for fuller sounding chords. Switch back and forth without having to unjack, unstrap, set down one and pick up the other, restrap, jack back in... you get it, right?

These guys were the best rock n roll band of all time. They set the bar as high as it would go and everyone else followed. As far as drugged out goes maybe a line of cocaine before a concert but for them to be as good ad they were in concert they were bot drugged out..just my opinion but I saw them in Tampa Florida twice 1973 and 1977 which was rain out half way through at the Tampa stadium. Still my favorite band of all time.

Personally to me this band shines most live check this out live at madison square garden 1973 or stairway to heaven(their biggest song and one of the biggest songs ever period) live at msg as well

Zepp set the bar for rock bands, they blended rock and blues in ways never heard before, each album progressing into new territory from 1968 to 1980. The members are in their 70's now, all except for John (Bonzo) Bonham who died aged 38 and the beating heart of the band was lost. They have only had a handful of one off gigs since, with 'Bonzo's son usually filling in on drums. The singer, Robert Plant has had a very successful solo career, and still tours with various line-ups and collaborations. He's touring with country singer Alison Krauss at the moment.
