keith moon was real good showman flashy fast but he was not better than Bonzo no way. That drum roll leading up to the Jimmy Paige riff is one of the best transition from drums ever. Without that drum roll that riff is not as iconic. It was masterful from a master. Nobody could slam the skins like Bonham not even Neil Pearth who is right their with Bonham.

“Back door man” means the guy that comes in the back door when your husband or boyfriend goes to work. It does not mean anal sex as so many people Sam to think. It’s a very old term.

Yes, and the expression, I believe dates back to the old blues men of the American South. It was the title of a song written and performed first by Willie Dixon, then covered by Howlin’ Wolf. Zep references the phrase again in Since I’ve Been Loving You: “I open my front door. I hear my back door slam.”

Greetings from South Africa. I was 16 back in 1986 when I first saw a Led Zeppelin performance. It was the film "The Song Remains The Same" and it was a Midnight Show at an Alternative Cinema house on a Friday night.... that little "grrrrr" you feel watching Robert Plant...and his hair...oh yeah! And the music blew me away.

Led Zeppelin had a great run and were having a hard time when John Bonham drank one to many. Some groups hang on and you catch them at the corner bar, to stubborn to realize that all good things must pass. So many years have gone and "Stairway to Heaven" is still 31 on the top 500 Rolling Stone Magazine greatest songs of all time. They have made lives after the Zep and I am proud to have caught them what feels like a million years ago.

@@scottvasey240 Turn your eyes off of Jimmy Page and check out John Paul Jones. Wow, he held it out there and with John Bonham made it possible. They had to do it right so Jimmy page didnt have to. Robert Plant brought it all together and made it live. The four made one.

These guys brought us to new places in our minds back in the 70's. You have to imagine 5 or 6 young heterosexual males listening to Zeppelin and looking at their poster on the wall and shamelessly agreeing that if Robert Plant (curls and all) walked into the room at that moment we would kiss him on the lips. Judgement free innocent times.
