keith moon was real good showman flashy fast but he was not better than Bonzo no way. That drum roll leading up to the Jimmy Paige riff is one of the best transition from drums ever. Without that drum roll that riff is not as iconic. It was masterful from a master. Nobody could slam the skins like Bonham not even Neil Pearth who is right their with Bonham.

Yes, and the expression, I believe dates back to the old blues men of the American South. It was the title of a song written and performed first by Willie Dixon, then covered by Howlin’ Wolf. Led Zeppelin had a great run and were having a hard time when John Bonham drank one to many. Some groups hang on and you catch them at the corner bar, to stubborn to realize that all good things must pass. So many years have gone and "Stairway to Heaven" is still 31 on the top 500 Rolling Stone Magazine greatest songs of all time. They have made lives after the Zep and I am proud to have caught them what feels like a million years ago.

Greetings from South Africa. I was 16 back in 1986 when I first saw a Led Zeppelin performance. It was the film "The Song Remains The Same" and it was a Midnight Show at an Alternative Cinema house on a Friday night.... that little "grrrrr" you feel watching Robert Plant...and his hair...oh yeah! And the music blew me away.

When this song first came out I had no idea what an x-rated song was all about till I started listening to the lyrics. Because at first all I used to pay attention mostly was to the sound, instrumentals, his voice. But I was just a kid when this came out anyways. Didn't know much about sex. That end note was an orgasm. No wonder why you liked it. LOL

"Back Door Man" was a song written by legendary blues man Willie Dixon, and recorded by legendary blues man Howlin Wolf ( my favorite). Led Zeppelin were sued for doing his song "The Killing Floor" and calling it "The Lemon Song", they settled quietly out of court. I read Plant stated in an interview they never meant it like stealing the music, it was done more out of honor for Howling Wolf, because they loved American Blues so much, however, they were also sued several other times for the same thing by other artists.
