Makes sense. Freya and Leda both call the Tarnished "Lord" or something along those lines while they're fighting them.

As sad as it is, she seemed like she hoped to fight you out of respect as a Redmane so she got what she wished for. I felt worse about Moore.

This gives me goosebumps.. Exactly as it did when I first had to fight them. Guys, definitely consider using NPC Summons on this fight. You won’t regret it. ❤ Makes it that much more emotional.

This fight and Bayle’s fights were the only fights in the entire DLC which I used summons for. It made both of those fights much more memorable and cinematic.

"For my Lord Mohg's Dignity!"- Ansbach You should also have summoned Ansbach for final boss. His final dying words are . "Tarnished, you must become the elden lord not for the Gods but for all men!".

I used player summon felt great, i used the "stop" emote at the door, and we all had to battle 1 npc until leda came up and became a moshpit of blade, casts and dragons best part of the DLC!!! And in the end it was me vs leda, i had the full erdtree knight set so it felt like the erdtree vs miquella the kind, gotta love fights like this

Best OST in the DLC and an amazing fight in terms of emotional storytelling. I liked these guys, fighting and exploring alongside them. Only for Miquella the Cruel to be absolutely downright evil. Forcing us all to murder each other because he cannot control himself or the world.

For me I had to fight Freyja, Moore, Dryleaf Dane and Leda I honestly stopped playing for a few hours after the fight it took it out of me

I wish we couldve turned freyja. I get she sides with leda because miquella saved her and because of radahn and everything, but surely there could've been a way for us to show her he was charmed into miquellas plan and didn't agree willingly. I feel like if she understood radahn was forced into becoming miquellas consort, it would make for a compelling choice. She either chooses the one who saved her life, or chooses to stay loyal to her general and helps free him from his curse.

I also wish we couldve somehow gone on all in with Leda and not have to fight her. It would lock us out of the last bossfight but it couldve been another ending. Maybe in that ending, freyja, ansbach, and thiollier successfully get to radahn and we have to beat him alone to let miquella take his body. The npc fight would be us, leda, dane, and moore vs everyone else.

Really feels like a clash of heroes(subjective in this world, champions might be the better term) here. The Tarnished is going to face Miquella while Leda and her allies want to protect him no matter what.

These characters meant pretty much nothing to me, but for some reason Moore's "Sad, forever?" line as he dies really fucked me up...

What a music. I really love this song and all of Miquella's followers. I see a lot of people on internet not really fond of Leda and calling her a fanatical zealot (which is kind of true) but I also see her as a very honorable knight who fight for the sake of her lord. In this fight, I love how among all your foes (especially Leda, Freyja, and Dryleaf Dane) none is blaming you for choosing a path different than their. At the end it end up on a fight where both sides respect the other but still have to fight in to defend what they believe to be right. I think what I prefer on this battle is how your opponents fight not because they are under the influence of Miquella's Charm, but because they trully decided on their own free will to believe in his ideal and to fight until the very end to defend it (the only exeption may be Moore who just follow Leda to loyalty to her and not to Miquella, which make his death even more tragic as he didn't die fighting for what he believed was right). Easily one of the best fight in the game for me, maybe not the hardest (even if it made me struggle a lot on my NG+6 run), but one of the most memorable.

This fight was probably the highlight of the dlc for, my only wish is if Igon stayed alive and could back you up here. Shame he just does the classic Fromsoft "randomly die for no reason" after his quest.

I mean it’s not entirely random, it’s safe to assume that he was critically injured from a fight with bayle and was on his way out, that’s why he asks you to summon his spirit to get one last go for his revenge on bayle before he succumbs to his injuries.

Well, he was dead BEFORE the fact with Bayle. What you summon is his soul. Also he had no reason to fight Leda's companions, because they aren't dragons.

When you do sir ansbach’s and thioller’s questlines you can summon them to help instead of some random sanguine noble npc.

This is the sadder battle I think FS ever gifted us. Yeah, we have put legends, suffering warriors and lost souls to rest, but this was completely useless and only guided by humanity's need to fight for ideals that may never take shape in their lifetime.

frankly, i think this could've been the final boss, in a similar manner to fia's champions. i'm more attached to leda the leader and her crew than both young mike and rad daniel combined. they could've stood back confident in the strength of their god only to be proven wrong, then gank you out of anger.

I personally don’t think a battle against a bunch of npc enemies is a fitting finale of a boss though. I think this fight is fine where it is since it’s like a very cinematic war of a fight between every single npc you’ve met right before the final boss.

@@safijivvaboi5081 perhaps if fromsoft gave them unique and powerful movesets as well, bolstered by miquella. it's not that i dislike it the way it is in the game, but given how fleshed out leda's crew was compared to the god and lord duo, switching the order of the fights around could've been more narratively impactful.

@@bottomlefto I feel like even if they had unique movesets, the idea of fighting essentially a bunch of npc invaders as a final boss would probably not be received remotely well in the community lol. Also miquella is a god and the main character of the DLC while these people are just his followers it would be weird if we literally kill god and then have to fight his random goon squad afterwards lmao.

@@safijivvaboi5081 that's why I suggested giving them unique and powerful movesets, explain it lore-wise as miquella using his godly powers to enhance them, make them human sized bosses a la midra. As for fighting mere humans after beating a god, sekiro did that to great effect. After the divine dragon, a godly being, you face a guy with a bow then a guy with a sharp stick and a gun. Miquella's no different than the dragon, a living mcguffin you meet at the end then beat. Whereas leda and her crew, the player can constantly interact with, learn about, and affect.

I think it's more interesting this way, Leda and her allies holding their faith in Miquella even after his charm on them was broken shows their faithfulness. I think fighting them after Miquella dies would feel unnecessary and more of a fight born out of anger rather than honor/necessity, which wouldn't fight a lot of the characters.
