OLD vs. NEW Tesla Model 3 - Which Should You Buy?

Is the New Tesla Model 3 worth 2x the price if a used 2020 Tesla Model 3? After driving the old Model 3 for 4 years, I finally got to test out the new, 2024 Tesla Model 3 while my car was in for service. There are tons of new features, better build quality, and updates for the new Model 3 Highland. But is it worth twice as much?

My wife had been jonesing for a Model Y when we were suddenly forced to replace current vehicle after it blew a motor. Drove the current Y and the new 3 and the updates to the 3 were so substantial that we bought the new 3 instead. Would have been nice to have waited for the next gen of the Y, but the timing wasn't ideal. We even considered pre-owned, but the difference after new EV tax incentives was less than $15k.

@@leeretaschen231 Yeah, the timing doesn't seem ideal. I'm sure you guys will LOVE the new Model 3!

Based on this video, I think the new one is worth it, but if you are on a tight budget, the older one is your best bet and still surpasses a lot of other vehicles. Great review!

The highland looks so much better. I tested the 22 and the new one and the road/wind noise is much less in the new one and the suspension is much better. Totally different car!

Just bought my first Tesla the old one 2021 for 21k. Can’t beat that. I love it. Lol

I like the headlight design on the older model better. Everything else is an improvement IMO

I agree about the headlights. I also prefer the stalks in the old one myself. Just bought a 2020 model 3 last week and love my stalks lol

camera of the refreshed one is way better. you can see the difference by looking at the camera. the new one has a red tint to the lens. which means its the new hw4

The new HW4 computer is WAY better than HW3 and the cameras seem to be improved a lot too in the new car
