Great....For others with a 2016 Chevy Silverado, under the drivers side use the black box (4th from the left) where you connected your courtesy lights in the grey box. Find the yellow wire in the black box and use it to operate your running lights. Y our automatic light control will have to be turned off for the amber running lights to work though. Still looks GREAT!!!!!

You're installation process is CRAZY, running electrical wiring under the belly of the truck like that and then run against body components. Run your wiring on the inside and then down thru a grommet found or make your own hole. Wiring outside will short and break in Mud or Snow.

It's not an effect. That's what the light does when you close the door.

Yes, maybe I was wrong calling it "effect". I'll reformulate the question: what's making the led strip behave like that? Is it because it's spliced to the dome lights and they have that behavior? Or is it because the led strip comes with an additional circuit that makes it fade in and out? Thanks!

Yes, the kit is wired to the dome light so it basically mimics the how that works.

The way the lights need to be wired is the same for every vehicle but the exact wires you need to connect to on the vehicle itself might be different.

Why do these lights work fine just off battery power? Soon as engines running I loose marker lights on strip and the turn signal skips almost hyper flashes on the light strip. Truck is a 2019 F-250. Thanks

It is because of the canbus system I guess you have. There will be wrong resistance in the circuit and make the car think some bulb is broke even if it isn't.

Daniel is right. You will need to add these lights via relays, and or straight off of your battery terminals. Anything downstream from your trucks ECU is going to throw an internal code, resulting in your lights not working.

I like the white courtesy light and the yellow for the blinker, but I don't like the yellow staying on while driving. Is there a way to wire it so the yellow won't stay on but will work with the blinker? Or is there another product that I should be looking at. It's for a 2021 white suburban and I don't think the constant yellow will look good on it.

Connect the orange wires to your turn signal power wires instead of the headlight wire. Then they will light up orange when the turn signals are on.

The lights coming on are dependent on what power source you connect them too. If you connect them to a headlight wire, then they will come on when the headlights are turned on. If you want them to come on when the door is opened/key fab pressed then connect them to an interior dome light wire. We usually recommend connecting to power via the fuse box.

2008 F150 Passenger Blinker wire is White with light blue race stripe and Driver side is Drk. Green With White Stripe/ both sides have black with Light blue stripe for the puddle lights, you will need to test for 12 Volts on one of them, then you can use any solid black wire for ground. (Side Note) I had to remove the door covers and splice in to the wire at the connector and run my own wire down to the junction wires in the floor board due to multiple wires with same colors for some odd reason, I could not find the correct wire. The lights really do blink amber with the turn signals at the correct blinking rate, looks really cool. Just to much work then should be done to find the correct wires is my only conn but hey, in the end I got it and saved me the price of a pro install when I can do it myself.

I couldn’t find any info aswell, I just ran the “running lights” into my trailer turn signal harness, and for the courtesy light, I used 2 relays, one from the cabin lighting and the other from the bed lights, as when you unlock the truck via remote, it will engage the lights aswell

I attached the ground to the chassis and they worked great but like I said once I started the engine they went nuts. I installed them on a 2018 f-150. I might turn them around and try wires to rear trailer plug.

Pretty vague, don't run wires over metal edges. Cut a slit in your grommet and push the wires through it. Consult your wiring diagram to make sure you are tapping into the correct wires.

Bit of an odd question but can this be used to just use the side marker? From the wiring set up I know I could tap into a headlight/tail light but I wonder if that alone would be enough voltage to turn on the led strip.

LED GLOW, I have had these on my truck for about 5 months, I opted for not using the screws, but did find using Clear rvt silicone gives it an extra Bond and also keeps a hundred percent Clarity and I just rub a light amount across the whole thing specially on the edge of this to keep it tight just my experience only cuz I had the end start peeling away. ( Witch I'm sure was my fault from the prep most fails are from a bad prep job) having said that I love mine. Courtesy lights look awesome in the winter ( CNY). Also I tied my Amber lights into my turn signal. Installation was as easy as shown on video. I would suggest doing another video that shows how to wire it in using an accessory relay for people that have a ground side vehicle's

This will never last in a hot state like Arizona where it gets 120f outside probably 150f on metal. This is bullcrap. Only hard plastic and screws will work. I call bull on this
