I'm a truckie, and I'm on my 3rd Ledlenser. All I can say is the R&D department there must be on drugs or something. The one thing I've consistently found with them is there is always something that really, really pisses me off. The usability of the higher priced bright ones is always very annoying if you're a professional where essential tools simply must work easily. The 2nd Ledlenser had BT and I hated it. I could not get it to work - like it's a torch, it only has to do one thing yet it can't even do that easily. The amount of fiddling to get it to turn on or off, either by phone or on the unit itself was over the top. I really needed the red light function but to get it to work in a way that didn't ruin my night vision by turning it on was an infuriating oversight by the design team. Your natural night vision takes fully 20 minutes to develop in low light if you're a non smoker and longer if you smoke. Exposure to white light instantly resets the process ruining for 20 minutes your night vision. So, you go to turn the headlamp on to red mode and it cycles through the brightest possible white light to get to the red night vision mode, or, the other way you can turn it on was to open your phone screen, again ruining your night vision by looking at your phone screen to turn night vision on so you can preserve your night vision by using night vision mode FFS! It really was the most appalling product. A disgusting display of gratuitous reliance on tech to perform a basic function such as On and Off. Who designs this stuff and approves it for sale? What a joke and an expensive junk product. The next one the H14R.2 had no BT (and no red light). The design flaw with this one is the button on the battery pack - with the slightest knock turns the headlamp to full intensity and also changes the mode I've set. It gets so hot it might start a fire in my bag with the heat it generates in the light housing against all the clothing and crap in my bag. Also, it turns on when I'm driving if I hit a pothole in the road or something and the distraction is unspeakably annoying causing me many times to have to pull over to turn the effing thing off!!! I put it on the dash and it still turns on uncommanded. Like what is going on? How does this happen? Why? The first one was great but it was only an $89 headlamp and was inadequate brightness for my needs. I drive tankers and I need to see inside the tanks to double check for room during fill up and this $89 model wasn't bright enough to see inside during the day. I was considering H19R but after your review I've decided for my forth headlamp I'm going to another brand. I need to have more light and I also need to have night vision red lamp but I need to be able to focus it too and I do not want to piss around with stupid fiddly controls to get the light I want, nor a headlamp that turns itself full on with the slightest of slight knocks. It shouldn't be this hard. There are so many good points to these headlamps but this stupid crap completely lets them down. The good points are their reliability and general ruggedness. Battery life is nothing short of amazing. The brightness on the more expensive models is excellent. The manual focus is really good and smooth and the rotary knob to vary the intensity perfect. But the push function of the rotary knob is where it all goes to hell as it is way too sensitive for any use at all by anyone. The annoyances with them are something I can't put up with anymore - christ knows I've tried. I'm a professional that works at night, there's got to be a better product out there. To say the higher priced Ledlenser torches are annoying is about the mildest description I might apply.

Great review, just a shame that it doesn't fit what i was after. Only be able to have the 4000 lumens for 10 seconds at a time is a real shame and now to not be able to manually focus each light has made me decide to stick to the XEO19R. At least with that i can have 2000 lumens for as long as i like, which is only around a minute or 2 at a time. I think the H19R signature would annoy me when you boost it at a crucial time and after 10 seconds it drops to 1800 lumens.

Cool :) ... my XEO-19R is getting a bit long in the tooth and it's the best bike lamp I've ever owned with a combined flood/spot setup... and I was worried I might not be able to use this one on my bike ... the universal mount answers that! ... and the switchable battery packs are THE best upgrade I've seen. Thanks!!

Just got my H19R Signature. I immediately noticed that the lamp itself is a bit loose. Not so much but still enough to bother you.. Is it something that someone else has noticed? Does not feel right on such an expensive quality headlamp. Greetings from Sweden

I thought the light cone on the H7R was too narrow, and was wondering whether the H19R's flood light is wider?

Hey, I’m looking to upgrade my XEO19r to one of these. But I’m worried about loosing the double lights being able to do a spot, wondering if the single spot on this new one would be better than the double spot with brightness? Any info? Thanks

What is the point of making a 4000 lumens headlamp that would last seconds on turbo? SMH

Can you please confirm the Bluetooth app on both core and signature as the full data sheet on their website does not say anything about Bluetooth on the Core series.

Also if you have a xeo19r would be a good comparison to see if others want to upgrade.

Hi Aaron, Yes, apologies for the mistake in the video, it is only the H19R Signature that will be app compatible. I would have loved to do that comparison but unfortunately we no longer have access to an XEO19R. I found when using the H19R i did like that it had dedicated spot and flood lenses, although when you only had the spot on I found the XEO19R had a bit more distance with the 2 focusing instead of the one. When it came to the full flood beam, I though that was a lot better on the H19R than the XEO19R, just because it was more diffused. When both the spot and flood lights were on, I found it more user friendly than the XEO19R. With not having to focus the beam in and out, you just get a really nice beam pattern with great distance.

Can you attach a gopro mount to the 3500lumin core version? Is there any difference in physical appearance of core and not core?

Love your videos but this headlamp is meh for me. The optisense can only be used with the app and if you reprogram the button it messes up the side buttons and you lose the ability to have just the spot or just the flood. The app needs ability to set individual profiles for each button and to choose only spot/flood the lowest you can set it is 1% so you can't have just flood/spot. It should have the ability right out of the box without needing to modify it with the app to get advertised features. All of this could be fixed through the app but I doubt they ever will.

10 seconds is stupid, waste of time...it would probably overheat and burn led out it it went any longer. So the real Lumens is 1600Lm for 2 hours. Bluetooth is not necessary it drains battery power. False Lumens on the front of box . Stick with the H7R core or signature 600Lm is very bright anyways. My older ledlenser MH3 has 400Lm but it is very bright 400Lm , My Ledlenser MH8 is 600 Lm for 4 hrs ...also very bright for night walking/camping etc.
