This song, especially this version, is haunting. I am fortunate that i have not lost anybody in the armed forces, but this song still has a lot of meaning. To all those who serve, thank you. To those who have lost somebody-they are not forgotten. And they will never be forgotten.

A month ago my best bud and I went muddin, we got stuck so we grabbed some one to pull us out. When he went to pull us our his ball hitch broke hitting my bro in the back of his head, I held my best bro in my arms till the ambulance got there. By the grace of God he's still alive but hasn't woken up yet. This was our favorite sing to blast in the truck.

My father in law died on Feb 14th of this year. I loved the man. He had a GMC Sierra that he used for work. For the first couple weeks, it was tough. I drive his truck and get flooded with memories. He was a good man. I miss him like he was my father. I will be keeping his truck.

It would be hard for me to imagine that there is anyone who would not relate to his loss, no matter what their personal loss had been. For me, it's my Dad. Thank you Lee Brice. The lyrics, melody and your delivery was nothing short of amazing.

I lost my dad to cancer on 09/19/14. At the time he owned a 2011 Chevrolet 3500HD Diesel Crew Cab Dually. It was his dream truck. The truck you work your whole life to get. I always remember my dad having the cool truck and this one was no exception. 2 months later I was able to purchase it from my mom. It was his dream truck, and now its the truck I will own forever. I miss him, and I'd trade the truck to have him back for just one day. Happy birthday pops. I hope you don't mind I drive your truck....

My dad was a truck driver. He left home on the morning of Feb 14th 1984 and 6 hour's later I identified his body. We hadn't seen eye to eye for a while so I was living with my grandparents and doing well. That's before the call. I don't get to drive his truck but I do drive my own and have now going 33 years. This song hits different for me but for the rest of you who live and the reason a song like this was written I just want you to know I understand. I tried to enlist but was told no because I had gotten a felony assault charge so I went trucking. Much love to the one's who didn't come home but a ton of love to the one who did and have to keep driving that damn truck to slow down the hurt. God Bless and God Bless America.
