Elliot is an attacking midfielder, and they already have too much of that. Gallagher should be deployed as an Ngolo Kante type of player, he’s always running chasing down players for the ball

I wish he brought on Ruben Loftus Cheek. He’s a powerhouse of a midfielder, psychically and technically he’s great. Angel Gomes is a natural attacking midfielder, he’s always has been but playing for England u21 he’s been great everywhere

Where is Ben White? Will he continue to get snubbed? I had hoped with a new manager after the fallout, Ben White would be considered. That guy is one of the best english right backs in the league if not the best atm. Update: I realize a lot of people are misinformed about Ben White’s situation. If you actually delve deep into what happened, Ben White has not played not bc of South Gate but because of the assistant coach. He was disrespected by that coach, and South Gate defended his assistant coach rather than stand up for Ben. Hence the row and why Ben has never returned. South Gate will have all the dumb press conferences and say he had asked Ben to come back, which is true, and Ben has refused which is true. But the issue with the assistant coach is still there. But now under new management, maybe we will see?

Grealish had a good preseason and only didn't start the season bc he picked up a small injury. All good. And he'll be in the best XI this season come business end of the season. Savio is only 20, first season at City, first season in PL and first time challenging in the latter Stages of the UCL. Pep won't just immediately start him in every big game. He didn't do that with Foden, didn't do that with Palmer, didn't do that with Rico, didn't do that with Bobb and won't do that with Savio. Doku is a bit of a chaos merchant and will probably be a good rotational option as well as the 12th man in big games (he was good when he came on late vs Real in the second leg last season). Grealish is just perfect for City and they look better whenever he plays (was especially evident towards the end of last season when he came back in). City's most likely best XI this season (if players stay fit): Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Foden, KDB, Bernardo, Haaland, Grealish.
