Lee is so humble and passive I'm surprised he took the bodybuilder route as his career. The man is Christian, you would think becoming a pastor from young with the wife and kids. He makes bodybuilders look good and intelligent.

Lee was the name I heard as a child playing with dad's weights, he was a bad mother lover, and I really jumped in during the ronnie and jay era after losing my brother, and man I was doing some crazy shit and I got massive, steroids not included, close to 20 years since then, and I'm jumping back in for more, not as easy as it used to be but I've already unleashed the beast, your right mr Haney, we are a rare and slightly insane breed

As far as my taste goes it is more likeable and respectable. That we agree on.

its basic physics 101. Ronnie lifted crazy heavy. however he used momentum. He even did touch and go style deadlifts to move some of those reps. Momentum takes some stress off the muscle and applies it to the skeletal system. The worse part is, the drugs made him stronger, but he was already strong before the drugs. So he was basically applying stress and load to his joints and back that he was never meant to lift anyway. The body couldnt handle it and eventually reached its limit. The mind is limitless unfortunately the body has limits.

Except his back problems are from as far a injury in college, and his hip problems are hereditary, not to do with training.
@fithealth2474 жыл бұрын
@@stefanroseEP3 Thats true..he did mention that too. There are many powerlifters who lift just as heavy as Ronnie and even heavier and they didnt have the amount of surgeries he had. So when people blame it on heavy weight as the reason..thats not entirely correct. Arnold and Franco lifted heavy..competed in powerlifting and yet they live/lived to an old age with no big time surgeries. People think Lee Haney lifted light..but he didnt. He routinely benched pressed over 400 lbs, squatting up to 400 lbs did military presses with over 225lb plus..and yet he is healthy and limber. Kevin Levrone lifted heavy too..and yet he didnt have all these massive surgeries. So with Ronnie..that is an isolated instance..not the norm. Now the only thing I would critique about Ronnie's training..and many pro bodybuilder's training..is the fact that they dont deload a lot of the time to give the CNS a break and let the tendons and ligaments get a break from the heavy weight or understand how to properly program training..as well as fatigue management. If they have achy joints they just wrap it up and keep pounding and pounding..thats not training smart. Plus doing excessive single joint isolation movements puts a lot of overloaded stress on that one joint. Which can lead to a lot of joint problems when one joint is taking so much load/stress compared to a compound movement that balances the stress/load over multiple joints. Me personally, im very big on taking a deload every 4th week.
