Really excellent video. Thank you for putting in the time. I have added the primer check light. That thing is a great idea! I've also added the inline fabrication lever. This also really works well. I also heard about the shake brake modification but I could not order one on canada. After some reverse engineering I was able to build my own. The shake brake is a huge benefit. I highly recommend it. I like the idea of the hornady bullet feeder but dont want to lose my factory crimp die? Again thank you for making the video. It was a huge benefit.

Bada$$ Brother! Thank you for the tips/mods and insight. You saved me hours if not months of learning the hard way.

Decal Outlaw thanks. I’m trying to improve my video production skills without buying $10,000 worth of tv equipment. Good luck with your reloading.

I literally wore one of these presses out and the only add in I did that you’ve not is I swiped the vibrator module from a baby swing to introduce just the perfect amount of dither. Made things run just perfectly.

Thanks for the tips. I just purchased this reloader and have never reloaded before for myself. Looking forward to learning.

Add a bolt to the hole in the center in the collater, it will help the brass go in the holes better and right

If its made by Lee its for me! Great company. Fell out of love with Hornady because of JAB stance with his people, will never go back to people that think like him . Sorry, not Sorry!

Looking to get in to reloading, both pistol (9, 40, and 10) and rifle (5.56, 270, various .30s, and 350) cases. For rifle, I am thinking of doing two press set-up assembly. First would be a single stage to decap, then tumble, then back to the single stage to neck size, following with a trimmer. Changing neck sizing dies to match caliber. Second press would be a progressive set up to prime, charge, seat bullet, and crimp neck. Changing the turret with dedicated dies mounted for each particular caliber. Buying a new caliber components and turret set up each year until I have what I need to load for the rifles I have. Would Lee's loadmaster progressive be acceptable for a budget minded, able to grow set-up? Thanks

able to grow and budget yes. not so much for the single stage but can be done.

Any fix for the auto drum spilling powder? Or is it only use spherical or stick powders?

Hello. Thanks from France for the tips. Was the led strip you used already preformed or is it standard led strip that you placed in a circle?

Lee primer tray flips primers while closed. Get rcbs universal hand primer tray,they work so much better and fit perfect,also have a slide to block off primers and its adjustable so you dont get primers bunching in chute.

I got some led's for rc cars and they are nowhere near bright enough to shine up through a 300 blk. Is there a certain light or does this only work with pistol rounds?
@niagaragunfighter24494 жыл бұрын
First thing I would check is if the light is getting the correct voltage. If you have a 7 volt bulb and a 5 or 2 volt transformer it will be dim. You also have to position the bulb so it shines straight up into the shell plate opening, kinda like a flashlight has a point of aim and peripheral offset. Remember, its going through the flash hole in the primer cup so there is not a lot of space for the light to enter the case. I never tried it on a rifle case but would guess any rifle case with necked down shoulders will be harder to see than a straight wall pistol case.

Set up for the Hornady to the Lee Loadmaster?
@niagaragunfighter59574 жыл бұрын
All I did was use the slinky spring that comes with the bullet dropper. I piped it directly from the dropper into the Hornady bullet feed die. If you are using the lee bullet feeder you can cut about a 3 inch piece off one of the plastic tubes and attach the spring to that. I did that before I got the die and it worked fine.

What is the part number for primer light?
@niagaragunfighter59574 жыл бұрын
I got this on Amazon: ASIN # B01M67XHU4. But you can use any RC car lights. You will need a transformer to power them unless you hook up a battery pack. I used an old charger from a portable CD player.

If your bullet feeder (or ANY die) fail to complete its task and you have to reactivate the press, PAY SUPER CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE POWDER DISPENSER DIE ! It can double feed your case if you haven't lowered your plate enough for the indexing arm to operate, but enough for your powder dispenser to reset. The Loadmaster, while certainly well thought and concieved, is not 100% failproof and ultimately, you are responsible for paying attention. Double load of powder can expose you to overpressure in barrel which is known by the State of California to cause facial/limb/hand trauma and mutilation. For more information visit many experts more knowledgeable than me.

I'm sorry but you should not be losing that much powder out of the powder drop. I'm using Titegroup which is a fine powder and I'm only losing a few granules after several rounds have been loaded.
