Lee I met you when I was a young teen in Anaheim at an amateur show, you know who was also there? Shawn Ray. You were super nice. After your guest posing I met you and immediately fell in love with the sport. That same day I saw Shawn. I ran over to him as a 13 year old kid to talk to him, and you know what he did? Shoulder checked me. I remember being so upset I cried later that night when I was alone. But for a grown ass big ass PROFESSIONAL to do that to a fan let alone a kid, was ridiculous. I never liked him and booed him every show that day forward.

Not to side with anyone in particular, however, it is without doubt that Lee Priest had one of the best physiques ever to be grown in a gym, anywhere. Not only that, but it was matched with a humbleness of of character which was a trait that is hard to find in the egomaniac world of bodybuilding. Its the "British commonwealth" mentality, its the Brits, Aussies, Canadians who appear to be most humble in today's BB. Regan Grimes from Canada is a good example. Notwithstanding, we see that Priest was probably the biggest man alive in his height and weight class and our friend Shawn Ray, I don't believe could have matched that. But who knows, the competition never came to fruition, but the photo evidence from that time, is that Priest was mightier than Ray thought he was.
