I was having problems with cases being kicked out of case slider and jamming the press. Also cases were getting stuck in the expanding die. Here is how I solved both problems.

Some really useful tips here, thanks. I hate that shell sticking in the expanding die! Going to polish it right up like you suggest. :-)

Thanks for tip. I have same problem and will give this a try. Other problem I have with loading 9mm is the case not feeding into resize/de-prime die. It appears case does not go back far enough into shell plate to allow case to center under die. Only occurs with 9mm dies but also occurred with turret press. Doesn't happen every time but enough to be a pain.

I read in Lee's instructions that it is normal to feel the resistance when you pull the expander from the case mouth. That resistance is supposed to help the powder flow. I was always annoyed with this. Now that you have remedied the bumping problem, how does the powder measure work for you? This is a very interesting dilemma.

I use Alliant green dot and I have not had any powder flow issues. Perhaps with other powders it might be an issue.

It appears that it's been a year or so since you've made this video. Did polishing the shell expander die give you a long term solution? Have you polished again since this video or did one polish solve the issue for good? I have a shell stabilizer so I don't have an issue with brass kicking across the plate, but the momentary hang-up and resulting 'thump' when it releases is just annoying. Would like to fix it if this is, in fact, a permanent solution. Thanks again for your videos. By far the most complete collection on KZbin.

Following NAE's advice, I mirror-polished the ejection slide (took much less effort than expected) and things run sooooo much more smoothly now. Just remember to keep the slide clean.

I have the same problem. I will be doing your fix without a doubt. Thanks for all of the great videos on the Pro 1000. Here is one of the two videos that I did on Pro 1000 modifications: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmWuiYacrLqMotE
