Tagg's falsetto is so mesmerizing, I never really paid much attention to the lyrics. Until now. So "is it my imagination" or do they tell a rather spooky, bodice-ripping, romantic tale worthy of an Anne Rice novel? Maybe this was Tagg's fantasy. Or maybe it's just an excuse for me to use more of those great pics I found while making the Steely Dan Gaslighting Abbie video.

If you're an 80's baby, Eric Tagg is The Greatest Singer That You Never Knew You Knew. The Blue Eyed Soulster was always over shadowed by similar acts like Michael The Main Man McDonald, Michael Franks, Michael Sembello but enough about Michaels, Hall & Oates and Bobby Caldwell who was overshadowed in his own right.The vocalist on Lee Ritenour's Is I t You? should have most going Oh! That guy. Heck, Back in the day I even lazily thought Is It You? was JT of Kool & The Gang, Bros Johnson or George Duke+ Stanley Clarke as all 3 had the market on the soft sound in question.
