Não é brincadeira, tenho 22 anos e sou do Rio. Tive que pôr em Português o comentário para me identificar com os outros Brasileiros comentando. Paulinho da Costa é absolutamente um DEUS da percussão, com mais de 5000 gravações nas costas. Uma pena não ter reconhecimento dentro da própria patria. A indústria musical daqui é uma piada. Ficamos reduzidos a sertanejo universitário, pagode e funk, podem ser populares, tudo bem, mas, não provêem nenhum senso de musicalidade nas pessoas. Eu só sei quem são Harvey Mason, Paulinho, Lee Ritenour, Anthony Jackson, Ernie Watts, que são alguns dos mais gravados e talentosos músicos de estúdios americanos nos anos 70 e 80 por influência da minha mãe, que os acompanhava. Mas pena que nem todo mundo tem esse tipo de conhecimento musical nessa terra chamada Brasil.

Paulinho da Costa completely steals the show and "makes" one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard, the Brothers Johnson's Celebration song from the Light Up the Night album. The key? Quincy Jones. Who recognized his talent and continued to use him over and over and made him a mainstay of his musical team.
