And he called him a wanker right at the beginning of the video. Lol.

That was only in response to what the other guy had done though. He didn't say it first.

Even though what Jamie wrote is in poor taste, he makes a great point with the 9/11 comment; Lee is so entitled that he only accepts humor if its on his terms.

Putting people down is the main aspect of any comedic act whether you put yourself, family or celebrities down doesn't matter. Comedy needs a target, otherwise you end up a prude

All those who are criticising Lee, think of the reason why he stood up for Elton. I mean you lot would have reacted in exactly the same way Lee did

no i would have brought it up in a more mature reasonable way without throwing childish insults for writing a song that i dont like

Lee Ryan on 9/11: “Who gives a f**k about New York when elephants are being killed? Animals need saving and that’s more important. This New York thing is being blown out of proportion… I’m not afraid to say this, it has to be said and that’s why I’m the outspoken one from the band.”

This is really really cruel. What he doesnt realise is that Elton sings these songs and donates all proceeds to the relevant charities.

Lee was right to defend his friend, anyone of you guys would if you knew him. I also understand the other guy saying he was joking around but lee in this case was saying that he knew the other guy intentionally wrote a passive-offensive song about his friend. The joke is only understood if they knew each other, assuming they had no connection this song comes off borderline abuse. The joke would be then on the joker.

Like Elton John's sexuality? How can you compare people being killed in the middle east and 911 when the two are under completely different circumstances? I don't think anyone is implying that deaths in 911 are more significant than deaths in the middle east, but in a political and historical sense, 911 is one of the most significant events of this decade. Judging from your posts, you probably wouldn't want to read anything wrote. Unless you can write something somewhat cohesive, don't bother.

I think Lee was not really defending Elton John, I think he was upset that details of someone else’s private life was pasted across the media in such a cruel way. As for the 911 comment, after reading the blue biography, I could see that in a stressful situation, being actually a few miles away from it happening and with Lee having a spiritual connection, I personally think the comments made were from a dream state, the words were from a higher source and were blurted out at an inappropriate moment and taken out of context. Maybe wrong but just my own opinion. As for the media man, probably had inside information and I think he was trying to do an Andrew Marrs or a Marco Pierre White style of questioning to actually get a reaction from Lee. Again, Just my own opinion? Maybe wrong???? Sending healing to all the families involved. 🙏🏻🙌🏻🌏
