We continue our Gettysburg 161 walking theme with Lee's Headquarters, the Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Seminary Ridge portion of the Town of Gettysburg. #gettysburgtour
This video is part of our series commemorating the 161st Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. View all of the videos here: • Gettysburg | 161st Ann...
The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

Loving this series! Tim Smith is the best. If there were another GB movie, he should get a cameo of an obscure unknown townsman that he is one of the few people who ever heard of him. Tim wouldn't take a role that everyone knows. Tim is a National treasure! Great job everyone

The events of day one led Lee into a false sense of confidence. Longstreet saw the field, and should have been listened too. He wanted to move around and get between the union and Washington.

If a soldier happened to be fighting in their home town, did they ever just stay at their home rather than in the tent?

George Meade, "the greatest General in American history". I'm begging for a video on that topic alone, who can bring the best opposing view.

When I visited Gettysburg 30 years ago, we began to realize why the preservation vs. development conflict always happens because basically, if you want to build anything in Gettysburg, you're building it on the battlefield. Thank goodness for the ABT!!

Love your channel and American Battlefield Trust. Just in Gettysburg may 2024 with my son. Missed re-opening of Little Round Top. We'll be back. We found ourselves coming back to Tommy's Pizza at S. Washington St. and Steinwehr Ave. Great Pizza. Historic since 1973.
