Je ne connaissais pas ce film. Il est extraordinaire, Je suis fan de Lee Van Cleef à la base. Des films comme celui-ci devrait être remis à l'ordre du jour dans les salles de cinéma ainsi qu'à la télévision. Le cinéma d'aujourd'hui, n'a plus cette qualité là. Un plaisir immense à le regarder. So quotable So memorable So brilliant So good This channel is the stuff on top of the dessert You get a hearty endorsement for this sort of content I like these noirs and the serials I am about to finish a 42 minute visualizer for an album by a Grammy-nominated recording engineer Wish me well! Un des premiers exemples de film de braquage, où le dit Casse (comprenant des tronches comme Jack Elam ou Lee Van Cleef) compte moins que tout ce qui en découlera - la préparation, elle, se fait au cordeau, et l'exécution est rapide et sans faute. Ajoutez-y un grain de sable, mais qui n'aura pas d'impact tout de suite puisque ça devient dès lors l'histoire d'une erreur judiciaire, d'un pauvre type qui se trouve dans le coin au mauvais moment. C'est John Payne, sorte de Russell Crowe avant l'heure, symbole de tous oppressés qui n'ont pas de chance et s'en prennent tout le temps plein la figure - "et Merci pour Rien !". Sa quête de vérité, l'amenant hors des USA, est aussi une quête d'honneur, dans laquelle il est tout près de se perdre... Que des salauds là dedans, certains avec leurs propres raisons égoïstes. Et encore une jeune idéaliste/future dulcinée, qui permet l'espoir... Mais qu'on ne s'y trompe pas, il reste toujours un fond d'amertume à la fin.
