Madera let Lee win that fight because of his lack of will and proper coaching. Coming into Lee’s preferred distance without throwing or trying to outbox Lee then get out is a bad strategy. Lee is not a guy hard to hit at all. Such a bad strategy by Madera’s corner.

Eh, i disagree on letting him win but I agree that Madera could have done better if the people in his corner were actually giving him proper advice. "i need you to box" cool what advice is that lmao. His record is going to follow a pattern, either losing or just ending in a draw. It's not the greatest record either. Just too many bad amateur fights in Canada and never being ready for the ones in the US. I doubt they tell him what to fix. I just hope he gets better trainers in the long run to help him. its obvious he has it in him to be good. there could have been a potential for another KD or KO too but the lack of help and effort is sad.

@@cdl1233 maybe I exaggerated on the win but think Lee was really stunned after the knockout and was weak on the following two rounds. Madera left hand was weak most of the time. The corner advice is only a motivator; the preparation for the fight is where’s at. The fighter comes with a mind to the fight after studying the opponent’s style. If that style changes, not many boxers can adapt for a win. Lee has some growing to do but don’t think his dad will let him “move out of the house” for a top notch coach. Big heart from Madera.
