that "creaking" sounds like a blend door issue, not the actuator but the door hinge itself, maybe they are completely dry (no grease on it) after being left without use for so long, every time you start the truck the hvac resets them when you turn the ignition to power acc

Been there with the flywheel before on a hemi swap... temporarily I flipped the starter gear and welded it until I could swap out the flywheel.

Maybe you need to flip the Flex plate the other way around. It looks like the the the ring gear sticks more out on one side of the flexplate than the other side. Possible solution
