LEEDS HALF MARATHON 2021 VLOG | THE WU

Just to say that this was the year when they had to change the route because of heavy duty roadworks in the city centre. You always get the hill going up Stonegate Road about 6km in but that last hill that never seemed to end going up to Horsforth is never part of the course. I was exactly like you, just wondering when it would ever end and the sun was just destroying people on that hill around me. I love the Leeds Half though and its back to the regular route now. Its still pretty technical because it's more of a negative split type course- if you run the first half wisely, you can really gun it in the second half going back along Kirkstall back into town. Great video and you captured the day brilliantly!

Maybe I'll run it again one day since its very close to me. Definitely not an easy course for PB's but for training it was great.

Somebody said the route I ran was hillier than usual due to the course changing for roadworks. So going forward in the future it should be flatter.

Another cracking video. I can't believe I wasn't on any of your footage again like the LLHR video. I'd planned to stick with the 1.40 pacer and have a steady race but got bored after 3km and pulled away. Great video again and good luck for Berlin. I've booked for the Benidorm Half in Nov. PS. That last big hill did seem to be endless!!!

Thanks mate. It was very tempting to pull away for sure, It was an enjoyable run and event. I have Derby half marathon in Nov so will race that once all the Berlin stuff is out the way. Benidorm half sounds very hot!
