Dvorak is my favorite piece, gorgeous. Almost fifty years ago mom, who was a music lover, expressed irritation at Dumka playing softly on the radio, not even asking what it was. I turned it off. Sad memory stays with me. Her idea of good music: Invitation to the Dance, Carl Maria von Weber. Knew it from childhood. I developed aversion. On other occasions she expressed dislike for Kreutzer sonata, Bruckner's eighth, which I love. Konrad Adenauer detested Bartok.
