I actually asked a carpenter to make the wooden table top and desk shelf & a welder to make the steel legs for me. The quality of the table is very good and it costed me way less compared to the tables available in the market.

So I also had a monitor wobble issue with my standing desk. I decided to buy a thick monitor pole to replace the monitor arm. It doesn't have as much functionality or adjust-ability as moving monitor arms but the wobble issue is now gone and since it's mounted to the desk, I don't have to worry about moving my desk up and down.

I personally love the 38" monitor because I do a ton of video editing work, which can take up a lot of horizontal space. At my 9-5 job, when I'm in the office I have a dual monitor setup that I prefer for doing research, work in Excel, etc.

Yeah, the monitor mount still worked fine for my setup. I actually discovered that I never tightened to bolts on my desk's legs which is why the shot of the monitor wobbling looked as bad. For 34" monitors, just make sure you get a desk mount that can hold the weight. This a good option: geni.us/QP0sFt

Hey Lee, great setup. I'm working on an up/down desk with some reclaimed red I found in an old picnic table that was painted over in white paint.
