The idea of this guy cutting in the middle of all the nerdy planning to get things going was great, and then the painful realization that the difficulty of the content meant the nerdy planning stage was actually necessary helped sell it for me. I appreciated what was in the video even if it didn't happen organically.

Yeah, but it's all satire. This is funnier because this was a 'legit' strategy that dumb people would try. So they are all Leeroy's, many fights in wow would require team work, and one person could easily screw up. In this case you don't have to pop the eggs. If you run by the eggs, little enemies spawn out of them. But you can almost entirely avoid them all. So there are a couple things. There is a legitimate AoE strat - AoE was easy as a mage back in the day - you clump enemies up - you use you aoe slow attack, and you keep them at range and kill them. Mages were incredibly bad in vanilla at fighting, but were incredibly strong and could AoE groups of basically infinite enemies as long as they were not casters - which the whelps are not. BUT YOU HAVE TO GROUP THEM UP. So the 3 warriors shouting to scatter enemies is exactly the opposite you want to do. Also mages were limited by mana, but the whelps are not elite so even a single mage could - under the right circumstances - solo them all. If they were grouped up and kited. They want to get Leeroy healing shoulders - while he's playing a dps/tank pally (he runs in first). Always players geared wrong - the healer playing as a DPS taking a healing spot lol. They call for a Divine Intervention which if I remember correctly is the one that kills your healer and makes his target immune to everything for several minutes and makes the target unable to do anything (when you are wiping- you can't kill the boss - you could cast this to make a HEALER - not a mage LOL immune, so that after your team dies that healer can rez everyone - bring them back to life - DI'ing a mage just makes him unable to do anything, and he can't bring anyone back to life when everyone else dies so it's useless). So even if your mage could beat all the whelps you've just screwed him by DI'ing him. Even if the mage is really good - by the time he notices and removes it - it's very likely that the whelps would no longer be clustered/focusing him, so he wouldn't be able to slow the whole group of them - meaning they would catch up and kill him. The whole thing is also a mockery of the 'we will have this long intricate plan and statistical analysis' and then it gets screwed up by a single guy not paying any attention - which happens all the time in a 40 man raid (this was a 10 man). The stats is a mockery of all the theorycrafting you would do - for example as a tank you would have to calculate your hit table so you were 102.4 uncrushable. Because bosses are a higher level than the players your defences are effectively lower - so 100% block/parry/dodge against the same level would be less than 100% against a boss - the key was 102.4 where bosses could no longer roll a crushing blow on you - dealing 1.5x damage I think - because your dodge/parry/block took up the whole rolling table - everything else was pushed off the table. Also if you knew wow - this would also be a play on - every single fing time I join a pug it's full of complete fucking idiots that don't even know they are idiots, and get mad at me for doing things wrong. If Leeroy was a tank - If I remember correctly he was Retribution - DPS spec - but if he had been tank spec he would have actually been doing things right - since Pallies were basically only good for AoE tanking. Ironically.
