Lee, we're ordering one of those flexible application pads and one thing isn't talked about in the video. If we use the pad you suggest, what would you increase the seconds too that you've found works?

Lovin the videos Lee! You actually convinced me to buy this press. I ordered some custom embroidered patches from Stahls and the patch itself looks great, but the edges of the patch want to peel up quite easily. I've used the foam pads, the stretchy grey silicon pad, teflon, and nothing seems to keep the edges from peeling up. I've use thermo tape and the recommended heat and pressure settings for the patches (320 bottom, 280 top), pressure at 5,6,7, and anywhere from 30-45 seconds pressed and I wait 24 hours before I start picking at it. Same result every time, the edges want to peel up. Do you have any other setting suggestions? All the experimenting I've done are within the recommendations from Stahls. I'm getting frustrated and could use some help.. Thanks again. Your videos are fantastic by the way.

Hey Lee. Thanks for all of this. I noticed on this round, that you JUST used the flexible application pad rather than the heat conductive pads that Stahls includes with the press. Was there a reason for this? I get and appreciate your mindset on using it with the old press, but with this one and the reduced possibility of creating scorch marks, it had me wondering your decision there. Thanks in advance.
@leestuart383 жыл бұрын
The flexible pad reduces or eliminates scorch marks just as well, and presses a lot faster than the foam pads do. The only real reason to use the foam pads is for 3D style applications where you don't want to flatten something
