@Lee you are doing a phenomenally good job man. Loving your videos so far. I started working in the fashion industry in about 2003 at a screen printing company and have few pointers you might wanna try. Apologies if you resolved these issues and mentioned them in later videos. 1. when creating your separation artwork, wherever possible put a 0.5 point outline on your designs. Then when it comes to your base white, make sure it has no outline. when you start laying colours on top of your base white they should match up perfectly and will give you way less registration issues. 2. when you create your registration marks, make the lines thinner, a 0.5 or 0.25 point. it makes lining up your registration between colours a whole lot more accurate and easier. 3. use clear tape over your registration marks on the screen when you start printing colours. easy to wipe away ink when lining up colours if you need to make micro adjustments to your registration. Keep up your awesome work man.

Diazo emulsions are the cheapest screen printing emulsion option. SBQ-based emulsions come in one pot with no mixing required. They cure extremely quickly - within seconds - when exposed to UV light. The more delicate bonds created by SBQ-based emulsions make the emulsions a good choice for detailed work

i heatpress all my shirts. my current set up doesn't include a dryer so it's a good way to get product out and offer something big shops don't really do. it takes longer, but personally i like the finish better. you can also test different wax papers or parchment papers to give it a different finish
@leestuart385 жыл бұрын
It's definitely a nice touch. I mainly use the parchment paper, but in this case they liked the glossy look so we went with the Teflon

I run a manual press also (Hix 6x6 with over 100k prints so far!), if you are having registration problems try pre-flashing your shirts...i.e. Flash-Print-Flash-Print. I almost always have to do that with sweatshirts, but not so much with t-shirts any more. Automatic presses have the advantage for multi colors, squeege pressure can remain constant where manual presses depends so much on the operator. Wait till you get into the 400-500 shirt orders, your squeege pressure will vary greatly over the job!!! Good luck.
