Hey bro ive been working at a screen shop for 11 years we use all m&r machines. You have to spray the face of the screen to remove emulsion from stencil.. that is what went horribly wrong.... and when you dry emulsion on the screen the screen should be face down ie well up ie same as when you put it on the press and print

And once I got the times down got myself a little book to write down the times so I don’t question is it this time or that time especially if you use different screen tensions. Yes I usually let me screens dry overnight just to make sure they are good to go. I don’t have one of those fancy drying cabinets but I made a cabinet and I use a box fan to circulate the air inside of it to help with the drying of screens. Works for me.

I never risk having a problem with exposing screens, I always end up doing things with little time left and redoing things last minute sucks. I never expose unless the screen has sat drying overnight. I built my own LED exposure unit and I burn screens in 40 seconds. Cost me about $40 including the glass, but it doesn't have vacuum, I use foam and weights but works great. The idea came to me late one night and seemed so simple and thought it wouldn't work because I haven't seen anyone else do it but I went and built it anyway and it works better than anything else I've had. If you'd like I can send you a pic of it and see if you'd want to try it. Keep on keeping on!

You can use your emulsioned screens within a hour. They will dry quicker if you just put a fan facing them. At our shop we've even used a blow dryer to get them dry really fast when we need them right away. We expose all our screens for 2.5 minutes and hardly ever have blow outs. Usually our blow outs happen with too much water pressure on small detailed areas. Hope that helps a little bit 👌

Thanks man. I actually figured out the issue was in my exposure unit so it wasn't getting as much UV light as it should. Now my screens are perfect and exposing in the proper time. Unfortunately he was not a stellar Speller and he gave me a big box of Motley Crew T Shirts which was not the correct spelling so I refused to try and sell them lol He tried to convince me that anyone listening to that kind of music wouldn't notice 😂 He ended up donating them to the Salvation army and I always looked when driving around to see if they had made it to the street but never saw one .
