I'm pretty sure the reason Survivors laugh when they melee a mannequin is because it's meant to imply that they mistook the mannequin for a zombie. If you do it after getting genuinely jump scared by a mannequin in your peripheral vision (as has happened to me) then it feels totally natural. I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on this, although I suppose it's not the most well implemented easter egg since it can happen even if you were staring directly at the mannequin beforehand.

With the help of a buddy you can use the grenade launcher to get out of some of the survival maps in L4D2 and get to the safe houses, if I remember correctly on Motel the safe house even had a desert eagle in there and if you closed the door with all surviving players inside it would end the round/game. Don't know if it was intentional but it's cool knowing that there are things outside of the survival boundaries as well as an alternative way to end the round allowing you to survive the game mode that only ends when you all die.

I like nick's development, if he was a gambly gunner man, it makes sense that he listens but tries not to care The survivors probably introduced themselves before, but if you're running for your life to a heli, you probably dont care, but the guy who's spent his entire life listening to the small things, would. But also, he's a guy who's very "Well, might as well go on til' we're dead", slowly becoming better with the group, but if they die before the elevator, it only cements his lack of caring, and he probably truly believes that ellis and he would die soon, so names are meaningless.

All that would basically do is make the game's performance worse with barely any improvements since L4D's lighting and art style is already subtly stylized, so it doesn't really need it. After all those years i still see that people don't know how to use the vomit jar. Do not trow the vomit jar inside the playable area, trow it outside the bounds it will make all zombies stay still jumping and make your life easy when you trigger a panic event just don't kill any zombies, because the game have a limit for how much zombies it can have at the time, so you can paralise the zombies and run for the safe room, this is very useful on the cold stream campaign.

Another easter egg that me and my cousin discovered on the dark carnival stage is that if you play in coop as either Coach or Ellis and you walk up to the mic and wait a few seconds, your character will sing a part of a midnight riders song. I'm not sure if it works on all versions of the game and I don't think it works in singleplayer either, we discovered it on the Xbox 360 version, and we also tested it in singleplayer and nothing happened.

The fridge thing is taken from a Green Lantern comic where GL Kyle Rayners girlfriend is killed and put inside a refrigerator where he later finds her. Its become a trope where a person whom the main character knows, loves, or is attached to in some way is killed off to motivate that main character to take action. This would become a writing trope where a girlfriend/wife/daughter/female would die to motivate a male character into action.

IIRC the ear protection zombie was coded to ignore all the stuff that drives away zombies. Which means they're immune to the effects of thrown Boomer Bile.

yes, which causes strange inconsistencies as they will immediately aggro onto players who are holding a chainsaw, they also will go after anything that actually gets covered in bile, just not bile bombs themselves.
