Sir, I think people have become more radical after the repercussions of Zia's Islamization and Muzzammil was talking in this context. As you mentioned Jinnah, Moududi and Zulifqar they were before the Zia period and even Benazir was safe from it because that was the transition period plus establishment support. The contemporary time is the result of Zia's policies and we can see that why people have become impatient about reliogion and why they judge every politician on religious bases.

These are some points I would like to highlight about this issue. Firstly, the left wing in Pakistan appears to lack a convincing voice that can appeal to the cultural and religious values of the people. It requires a politician who understands the ground-level thinking of the people and possesses a psyche deeply rooted in their cultural and religious values. Secondly, people often confuse the left with the West, and the left needs to counter this narrative. If the left wing appears and speaks like Westerners, people will associate them with Western values( atheism, naturalism, average Pakistani perception of the West), which is not representative of the left's ideology. Usually, people fail to differentiate between different ideas. So propaganda against the left wing becomes successful. These labels against the left have some basis that the left needs to address Thirdly, the left does not seem to put enough effort into Pakistani politics, which is a challenging matter. Pakistan is a confused nation and state, and to win people's trust, a true activist or politician needs to run a robust campaign that addresses their doubts and concerns. The current situation in Pakistan provides an excellent opportunity for the left to gain ground. Lastly, recent research suggests that science and the ability to think rationally are innate to humans. However, people tend to be biased, which hinders productive discussions. It is crucial to minimize these biases by engaging in sincere and constructive discussions, just like the one we are having now. That's a perspective on this issue by a budding psychologist. With respect, I think you only responded to Muzzamil's criticism that you agreed with. It would be great if you could respond to some more of the following points he raised: 1. The world has changed a lot since Marx and the proletariat-bourgeoisie relationship is not what Marx specified at the time. 2. The left in Pakistan it too academic and is split in factions. 3. Capitalism as a system changes to encorporate its criticisms. There may have been more and I don't want to misrepresent Muzammil but those seem to be his points from what I gather. Would be great if you could respond to those. Edit: Just realized that Taimur has released several other videos responding to most of the other points. I'll check them out to see if the responses were satisfactory.

Dear Taimur, I do not like beating around the bush because I do not see salvation of mankind’s possible through the religious doctrines; Muslims think that a religious state can be established today which is simply not possible. If we look at the Muslim History it becomes very clear that there was never a Islamic State, just look at the Prophet’s time: there was no political body which ran day to day affairs; he left the world without providing any clue regarding the issue of succession. A direct outcome of this was the split among Muslims (we know the mortal struggle between Shias & Sunnis). First caliph was gone within 2.5 years & the other 3 caliphs were killed. During the time of Ali several wars were fought in which both sides were Muslims killing each other. During all that time the whole economy was based upon the loot brought from the places which were conquered, they even did not have a name for their state. Is it possible to run a state like that today? Once Ali was killed there was never an elected caliph; during the last 1,400 years all we see are the kings calling themselves caliphs (a joke). So please tell me where a single state was run based strictly upon Quran??? Then what is left??? Sufi s & Muslim Mystics understood this failure and that is why no one was ever preaching to establish a caliphate. Medine ki Riasat is a fallacy in approach, because we see that Ali left Medina for Koofa. If an Islamic State was possible then I would be seeing it somewhere between Indonesia and Mauritania or between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I will say look at the Switzerland, they have been practicing a system which does not exploit anyone; otherwise almost all the states of today are a total failure when it comes to granting equal rights to everyone.
