This is gorgeous and it has given me a great idea for a piece I'm planning at the moment, so thank you (again!). The only open cup I've done turned out nothing like I expected, but it has ended up being of my favourite paintings. I did it using purples, blues, black and a bit of red, hoping to get something like a spiral galaxy. What I ended up with looked like one of the storm systems on Jupiter so when I photographed it to get prints made, I played with the colour digitally and made a version that's orangey/brown, and a version that's black & white. All three version look amazing!
@LeftBrainedArtist4 жыл бұрын
I need to get to a place where I can do photographs for prints. I fell like my pictures are the worst part of my channel. Where do you sell your prints? Thanks Mary!
@Spiceyspiney4 жыл бұрын
Getting good photos of acrylic paintings isn't easy because of the lens distortion and the way light reflects off them. I try to prop the picture up as straight as possible then take pictures with either my DSLR camera or phone camera. I then make any minor tweaks using Fast Stone Image Viewer because it's free and it's much easier to use than Photoshop. I do have lots of different image processing softwares because I'm an astrophotographer and I need them for that, but Fast Stone is my go to for quick editing. I always crop the edges out to get rid of the strange shadows as well. I don't sell my prints anywhere fancy; just the shop page of my website. I mostly sell prints of my pastel drawings of the Moon, but have a few acrylic pours and Brusho art prints as well as my astronomy photos.

Thank you for these basic instructions. I watch them all and that’s what I try next. I don’t get cells, ever ! Seriously I don’t know why. Swipe. With Floetrol. White over almost any color. White barely thinner than the other paints. That should give you cells and lacing every time.
@shelley96524 жыл бұрын
@@LeftBrainedArtist this is true, I’ve done that but I over worked them trying to get the swipes all straight . Will more floetrol give me cells in other types of paintings?
