We grew up in cemeteries too in Germany. My dad worked on his genealogy while we were stationed there. My brothers and I played on the playground while they looked for family and asked about living family in the area. Found out that we were related to the Chief of police in Luxembourg. So many memories.

Hi Laura! I stumbled upon your channel just few weeks ago and I am OBSESSED! You have an amazing energy and I really enjoy how you share your knowledge and just how much you know and still are so humble :) I love second hand and vintage since I can remember but in Poland where I come from we usually have only second hand clothes. I moved to Sweden 5 years ago and since day one am obsessed with their flea markets (loppis). I have never been to US but when it comes to Scandinavians you can really see how much love they have for things, almost everything that I buy in second hand is amazing quality. In one of the videos you mention you were in Norway but I think you would love Sweden too both for the landscape and for all the second hand finds :) I feel inspired by you and am now paying more attention to the beautiful handmade Swedish ceramics and furniture and learning more and more about it. Big hugs from Sweden! 😊

I really think you should get some ‘use’ out of the necklace before you put it up for sale. Wear it 6 times, and after that you will know if it’s one you will wear enough to make it worth keeping…and I’d love to see you wear it in an upcoming video!
@RobertaS-6911 ай бұрын
If you're having any doubt whatsoever about listing or keeping a necklace then you should keep it until there is no doubt. The value of it really isn't an issue it's what you paid for it which wasn't much so for you to keep it you're not losing anything. But you gain those precious memories that you say you feel every time you look at it or wear it. I think your heart already told you that your answer keep it❤ keep it ❤keep it❤😊

I just happened to run across site and so happy I did. You can say that I have been bored because I just had a knee revision replacement and haven't been able to do anything, I'm always looking for thing even at my age at 73. I have always loved the mid-century things. I have a whole storage unit of all kinds of glass ware that I got from my mother-in-law after she passed a few years back and I really do not know what, how to start getting rid of it. She had a lot of sets of glasses and I'm talking every piece, and some sets are like 8-to-12-piece settings from the water glass to wine glass to the cordial glasses. So here I'm with it all. But I love your finds and I will be following you on your adventures.

Terrific finds,Laura. I went straight to your shop to see if my favorite find was there, but it wasn't because it is also your favorite find. Not surprised as that happens often. If I were you, I would keep it until certain I wouldn't be sorry to let it go. You can make $$$ on other things that you don't cherish as much. You seem to let go easier than I do, though. Thanks for the fun, and never stop learning. That's the key! Cat

Beautiful finds there Laura, I would wear the French Egyptian necklace for a while maybe wear it to a special occasion so that lots of photos are taken so you have a visual memory and see how you feel in a year or so time, it's not only your buyers that deserve beautiful things! As for the black hand by the German designer, only a theory but there was a lot of sensitivities around Germany post WWII, so if this hand is from the 1950s I wonder if it was imported and over stamped - obviously this theory doesn't work if it's an imprinted stamp!

Thank you for that trip down memory lane. Camden & the open markets are a lot of fun. A feast for the eyes! As a photographer I could not get enough. Boy can I relate to the not being able to sleep on airplanes. Yep. Many trips with no sleep. I once sat on about a six inch wide portion of a seat for about 11.5 hours on a trip to the Netherlands; while the Nigerian man (not being mean, but, he filled both our seats- slept) If that were not bad enough, I as on the inside by the window and he snored very loudly for just about the entire trip. Was I eager to fly again after that? Not really but I then took a tin can flight over to Belgium from Amsterdam ha hah. From there a shake down at the border of Belgium & a ride thru the 'chunnel'. Have you ever done it? when you do the London trip again; a must see is Highgate cemetery, it is beyond incredible! They actually give tours it is that massive. On the east entrance ( if i remember it correctly), there is an ancient Egyptian gateway-that is stunning & quite bizarre for the locale. Anyway, thank you. Cheers.
