After years watching tv shows you start to notice some things. Did you guys notice that she does the same expression that Klaus used to do when he was mad but knew he had went beyond the limits? The expression that most makes Danielle and JoMo look alike and oh my gosh THE LIGHTING in this scene is kinda yellow that makes her blue eyes look green Just. Like. Her. Father's. I also hated what Rick said but the scene was absolutely well constructed

Ak Ak Klaus was a bad person, an evil person but once hope was born and he was reunited with his family all that changed. The reason he acted that way at first was because when he was a child mikael abused him and was always different never fit in and had very little people that cared about him. that all affected the way he acted throughout vampire diaries. but on originals everything he did was for his family, for hope. he literally died for her! if you don’t see that as a good man you confuse me. people can change.

I can also see she had her mother’s qualities as well being able to show compassion and understanding and in this case mercy. Ok, I get where Alaric is coming from. And he is right. Klaus was a vengeful person, but he was also a person who wanted to get rid of the people who wronged him and his family, and anybody who could ever hurt them. You can't do that without becoming paranoid and distrustful of the people around you, even the ones you are trying to protect. the thing with Alaric that gets me is that he acts so holier than thou. He acts like he is better than any and every person that did bad things. he will crucify the originals for the things that they did, but completely ignore all the things they did to deserve that treatment. i mean, you can't kill somebody's brother and then not expect them to retaliate and kill somebody else.

You are kidding right? Klaus pissesed alaric, tried to kill Hope, turned Jenna into a vampire and killed jenan and elena in a blood ritual so that he would become a werewolf. John died bringing elena back and then klaus came back for them because he couldn't make hybrids. He killed tyler turning him and did so many other things.... klaus didnt kill those who wanted to hurt him. He killed innocents, slaughtered villages, murdered thousands of men, women and children. He even turned people into vampires and compelled them to kill their famillies... and you want to tell me it is elena's and jeremy's fault that they wanted to protect tgemselves from kol who tried to kill bonnie and jeremy? Klaus was a good farher in the end and their show is nice but they are evil. Out of all of them i think that only rebecca is good.

@@akak1297 personally, I believe Elena and Jeremy and the whole gang could have been smarter about dealing with the Originals. Killing Kol ended up being a mistake because it caused all the stuff with Silas basically. And I'm not excusing Klaus. He is no saint. He does a lot of unreasonable things. However, a lot of his motivation is protecting himself and his own family. If his reactions to trying to stop his enemies gives him more, oh well. And John wouldn't have had to die if Elena had stuck to the plan they had made with Elijah in the first place. And they made such a big deal out of needing Doppelganger blood to make Hybrids, all Elena had to do was give Klaus a few pints of blood every once in a while. Klaus had back ups for the ritual, I don't think for a split second that he would have used Jenna in that ritual of they hadn't tried to mess up his plans. And I understand that they were protecting themselves. But, they could have done that and still given Klaus what he wanted. Klaus is persistent. Plus, you can't blame Klaus for wanting to get rid of a curse his MOTHER put on him that prevented him from being his true self. Honestly, Esther and Michael are to blame for everything that happened in this show. None of this would be happening if Micheal wasn't a child abuser and Esther wasn't a lying bitch. They are responsible for how their children turned out. They are the root of all of Klaus' problems and insecurities.

He never put Klaus down, he did not say he’s a complete sob ( despite the fact Klaus did kill his girlfriend and compelled his ex wife to kill herself) he simply stated a truth, that despite how much He loves Hope His flaw was reacting negatively and hurting people who hurt him or made him angry without making sure he found out the whole story. Hope was acting the same way at the moment this boy hurt her so she was ready to kill and hurt back without finding out if it was even him who burned the people on the bus or even if he did was it on purpose? Here’s the thing, what he’s done in the past doesn’t define the man he had changed into during the last two seasons of TO. Now I’m not saying that erases all of the terrible shit Niklaus did but to know what a person has done and to know who the person is are two very different things. He changed because of the unconditional love he had for his only daughter and sacrificed everything for her so she could live. It’s the most selfless decision he made as a father, as a man and as a person.

Marquize Randall klaus was not hatred or vengeance sure he hated alot of people and took pleasure in revenge but when you get right down to it he was just a man who was not only abused as a child but also had an increased aggressiveness from being a werewolf that was further magnified upon becoming a vampire/hybrid plus over a thousand years worth of family drama and issues not to mention the 52 years 4 months and 9 days of psychological torture from the hunters curse and finally the well deserved paranoia that had over a thousand years to develop due mikael trying to kill him i mean sure klaus killed esther but he only did that because he was newly turned and she basically cut him off from an essential part of himself and lets face she would have tried to kill him and his siblings sooner or later and sure he blamed mikael for it turning the family against him but even after they found that out they not counting freya still thought mikael was a monster esther included and can you really blame klaus for blaming him after the years of abuse i know im bringing it up again but seriously you dont do that to a kid im sorry for ranting but my point is klaus is not hatred and vengeance mikael is hatred and vengeance and hope is nothing like mikael she is a teenage girl who happens to be a witch who has the right to use her magic however she dang well pleases who is alaric to dictate what she can and cannot do he is not her father in fact id say the only people who do have any autbority whatsoever over her are the remaing mikaelsons and marcel

Why are people mad at Alaric for saying what he said? It’s literally the truth. How many years did Klaus wallow in revenge and hate? How many lives did he hurt and affect and end? How many of those action eventually had consequences that led to his eventual downfall? Alaric is Hope’s teacher, it literally is his job to teach her, to protect her, and to guide her to the right path. He has every right to speak up when he sees her doing something dangerous, that’s what good teachers are suppose to do. She lives at his school, what she does affects other people, it is his duty to her and to other students to make sure things are okay and that people aren’t doing the wrong things. Alaric is doing what responsible adults are suppose to do, speak up and correct a behavior in a child before it’s too late. Alaric saw the consequences and damage that Klaus inflicted, he has direct and first hand experience, why would he want Hope to be like that? It only makes logical sense that Alaric would want the best for Hope and that’s not to follow her father’s path of death and destruction and danger. He’s telling her the truth she needs to hear instead of coddling her and wait for things to go worse, that’s actual good parenting - she may not be Alaric’s daughter but she is his student and as long as she is that, she is his responsibility. Even Klaus would not want Hope to end up like himself. He wanted Hope to be better than him.

At this point in time Alaric is as much, maybe more of a "father" to Hope than Klaus ever was, he has been taking care of her since she was a litle kid, in this scene you can see how sad she is about disapointing the man... And Lizzie and Josie are jelous of Hope because Alaric treats her like a daughter and at the same time are mad at Hope because she never allowed them to treat her like a sister or even a friend, wich they really wanted to do, just look at how happy Josie was when they started bonding in episode 4.
