I mean, they said Hope was actually pretty distant towards anybody and she admits that she doesn't want to get close to people, so The fact that she is alone is actually her fault (Lizzie said that to Alaric too, and Rafael implies that, I think) so she just need someone who could break that actitudes of hers or just like gain her interest

She's keeping her distance from people because every time she starts getting close, they disappoint or fail her in some way (Roman, Josie, Landon, even Klaus). She has the worst luck because every time she wants to befriend someone or let someone in, she ends up getting hurt.

You know I understand that the twins, especially Lizzie, are upset because they feel like their dad is putting Hope before them but Come on! stop taking it out on the girl. She didn't do anything wrong. She wanted to track Landon because she felt responsible which is why she was there to see the Dragon and the knife. After the gargoyle, any person with common sense (who had the previous information) would have put together that the knife was involved somehow. Hope and Josie were getting along pretty well and then Josie starts giving her the cold shoulder as soon as she and her sister make up! I mean really! It's not Hope's fault Alaric stepped in front of him. It doesn't even have anything to do with Hope specifically, it's actually a very natural reaction for a caring adult to want to keep a young person from getting hurt. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the twins hating on Hope, it makes for good future character growth and plotline but I wish the show would give them a better reason to dislike Hope, other than redirecting their anger at their dad toward her.

Hafsa Malik I think it is implied that Hope didn't care for them or dismissed their intends to be friends in the past, I mean, Rafael does tell that everybody is all itchy toward Hop because she acts like an ice queen who doesn't want to get close to people, so I think Lizzie (more than Jo, cause I see her more like a sensitive person) is really mad at her for that, for try and be left unvalued.

Lizzie is extra sensitive because she has mental illness. As implied before when Dana mention about her no longer paying a visit to buy medicine in their Pharmacy and mocking her about her joy of tormenting the craziest one. It's safe to assume she's off her meds. Bipolar disorder isn't easy. Josie is more calm and willing to make peace but she, just like Lizzie, also has insecurities. She is constantly looking out for her sister and her recent heartbreak isn't helping. They are still kids and Hope seems like only willing to make a relationship with Alaric and no one else until the third episode of course.

mgtl100 hmmm I think I missed the medicine comment, if she had a mental illness that could explain her behaviour. I still don’t think Josie giving Hope the cold shoulder for something her father did was right. I know s lot of people will say that Hope gave them the shoulder too but Hosie we’re having a good time until the incident.

I get that Josie and Lizzie were mad at Hope because she wasn’t emotionally available, but she was still going through the grief and trauma of losing her mom, dad and uncle in such a short span of each other. I understand what Josie said about everyone going through bad things, but hers was still so new and she just needed time to be able to grieve at her own pace. It seems like now she’s finally ready to open up to people and form relationships but the twins are too busy being mad at her for not being available when they wanted her. The way her smile fell when Josie turned away from her was so sad. She probably felt like after what had happened and what they did together they were on the way to being friends, but instead Josie shut her down. Honestly I hope this will push her towards becoming similar to her father. Klaus was always my favorite character and Hope is very much like him.

As pointed out in the 1st episode,Lizzie&Josie tried befriending Hope even BEFORE Klaus' or Hayley's death but she was too arrogant&bitchy.....giving the excuse that she was the only tribrid while in truth actually she was never made to feel alone because of her tribrid nature...SHE HERSELF thought that being tribrid meant that she didn't belong anywhere (a STUPID Delusion)Anyway,the worst thing about your statement was your wish that hope becomes like Klaus.....a GLORIFIED MONSTER who had so much power (he never deserved it)that he could have made the world a better place to live...but instead he became,possibly,the WORST person in all of human history(bastard deserved that death).If Hope becomes like that....she deserves the same fate

Even Klaus will be upset if she turned out to be like him. It was implied that Hope was already isolating herself even before her parents death. Not sure if that's because she miss her dad or something. She was acting just like Lizzie when she was in TO. You know, a little too immature. Seeking attention from her father and going behind her mother's back until she decided to put her in a coffin which ultimately cause her death. I think Josie did that because she didn't want to complicate things. Lizzie is very sensitive and overthinks everything. Let's just wait until she takes the chill pill maybe then everyone will start to become sensible and open.

Shashwat Bhushan true I did forget about her isolating herself before and I think that was immature, but now that she has a legit reason they don’t care anymore. Like the boy who cried wolf lol. And Klaus was always my favorite because in shows like this, I tend to like villains or anti-heroes more than the protagonist. Klaus being a monster was part of his appeal and charm. I don’t want hope to become exactly like him, but to have some parallels. Maybe just some loose morals and a carefree attitude. I guess it would be more like in between Klaus and Hayley the attitude of “I don’t kill people on the daily but I also have no qualms about doing it.”

@@t.michelle8252 Yes, I think given the recent episodes, Hope is finally ready to open up. She's doing it with Landon and eventually with the twins. I see a little progress but at least there is. The Klaus-like image is still there. I mean when Klaus was still human he was very gentle, loving and sympathetic. Even his early vampire years he was still gentle until his first heartbreak that made him dark. I think when Hope activate her vampirism you'll see her somewhat closer to evil Klaus. Vampire feelings are magnified so she will get that Mikaelson temper in a whole new level.

To be honest, I think her problem is not even Hope. It's just easier for Lizzie to be mad at her than to be mad at her dad. I must admit she has a lot of self-control for taking that slushie without her snapping out on those MF high students. Lizzie was still being nice to Dayna even if she's treating her like crap. Who knows how many times Lizzie reach out to Hope in the past

Alaric talked to lizzie about hope losing alot she practically dissmissed it by saying boohoo everyone here lost something but hope practically lost everything she only knew klaus for about 6 months that she could remember she knew declan better than she knee klaus not to mention declan disappeared after giving klaus crap about putting her thru hell and her mother was hardly there she just left her at school while she lived in new orleans and lets not forget that she lost both parents in 3 weeks if it was even that far apart and her entire family abandoned her from the looks of it not even one of them consodered moving to mystic falls to be near her but lizzie and josie only lost Joe and they didn't even know her because caroline was the one that carried and raised them half of the kids at that school still have parents tho sorry for the paragraph but my point is hope is an orphan who has no one looking out for her but alaric and maybe she was jealous of josie and lizzie thats why she never reached out to them i felt like if the girls understood that then they wouldn't be so cold towards her

@@FeNny136 Okay, I think the show will deal with their issues later on. We don't really see the whole picture and what went down with them. The two girls are clearly in pain. Lizzie for Caroline's absence and Alaric lack of attention toward her. I'm not justifying Lizzie's behavior. In reality, it's always hard to get mad at someone we love. That's why Lizzie is directing all her anger on Hope rather than her dad. Personally, I think Hope chose to stay away from the twins maybe because the twins presence is a reminder of what she has lost. The twins were the one who save Hope's life and in doing so, she has lost her father.

@@FeNny136 Hopefully they can develop friendship with these two in the near future. They have so much in common than they are willing to admit. Both have uncontrollable impulses and it was also nice how the show address the fact that Lizzie is more sensitive now because of Caroline's absence and Hope acknowledging Lizzie's feelings when she said "Yeah, I know the feeling." Clearly, she was missing Hayley too. Just like Lizzie, Hope also did everything to get her father's attention.

That scene where Hope looks at Josie like her smile is apologetic and their eyes met but Josie turned away (somehow like a disdain look as she turned away) to talk to Lizzie...and Hope had that broken look with eyes glistening to tears (like almost the same with that scene when Caroline got disappointed in Klaus, though I cannot remember the episode in TVD or when Camille died) waah that feels is so heartbreaking added with the background song and for me it's the best moment that happened so far in Legacies even its just mere seconds. I just can't get it out of my head amd I kept replaying it over and over(it just sucks that she looked at Landon after that). I feel Danielle and Kaylee delivered it so very well that it pierced my heart. They acted it so perfectly that it feels to me it happened in real life. Gosh, I just need to say it and wonder some of Hosie shippers feels the same too.

T.C? Hope does have other vampire abilities like I said above. But theres some things she can't do until she dies and become a full vampire. Yes Hope's mom Hayley was able to compel. But she had also died with baby Hope's blood still in her system. So unlike Hope she was a full vampire. Hope has yet to die. She won't have vamp speed are compal until she fully trigger her vampire side.
