Josies mild obsession with revenge and fire make me wonder if she will be the twin to end up going dark. Lizzy comes off as very dark and sometimes deranged, but when you dig a little deeper you find she is actually fairly sensitive and nieve. whereas Josie comes off as very sweet and innocent but when you dig a little deeper there is a lot of pain and anger inside her. Lizzy reacts on instinct to what is happening around her. Josie actually thinks and calculates her responses. Any way I think they want us to believe it will be lizzy while subtly setting it up to be josie

I’m thinking if the twins was actually to go against eachother because of their coven josie would be the one who starts it and wants to kill Lizzie, I know they showed Lizzie was the one when she was making wishes but that could be to throw people off the scent if they did ever choose to bring that into it. I don't want to compare it in a way that one is darker than the other. I think they equally has that dark tendencies. Josie's power is calculated and focus well maybe she also knows a lot more offensive magic but Lizzie's power is more chaotic and messy. She likes to break things like Kai. Kai was also not really an expert with magic and having a hard time focusing on his target but that doesn't mean he was weak. The only difference would be the intent to do harm. Lizzie could do big damage if she was out of control while Josie could do that if push to her limits.

honestly, they’re building josie up to be the stronger twin compared to lizzie; i like the fact that she studies offensive magic as well. we didn’t get to see much of this in the originals or vampire diaries from the witches of those series. it’s nice that witches are finally getting recognition in the series and not your same old same old vampires or werewolves. it’s like vampire diaries focused on vampires, the originals focused on werewolves/gave werewolves some focus, and now legacies gives us more insight on witches and their abilities.

Thank God we got Legacies. Now we'll get the chance to follow a storyline exclusively about the Gemini Coven. They are a very interesting coven considering that all of their members were powerful witches and Siphoners. They are significant much like the Mikaelson Witches. What they have not touched upon is how the mutation occurred and the Siphoners came to be. I think they will make it part of the story the coming season or the one after it. Plus, Lizzie and Josie are the two halves that make for a powerful union. I believe that the monster of the week format was great for season 1,but after this point Legacies should go deeper and expand its mythology by building on what we have gotten so far from TVD and To and now Legacies. What are your thoughts on that?

Chris Kayel i think that the monster of the week thing as really limited the writers chances to focus on the mythology more. The vampire diaries had some powerful mythology in literally every season and so far we haven’t gotten that on legacies. Like if we were to see more of the dragon or the gargoyle that would be ten times more interesting that the monster of the week thing. I’m hoping that they do convert their format a bit next season. Hoping they get a 22 episode season that will give them to have monster of the week AND a few episodes on mythology. I’m very interested to see what the writers are planning for next next season, here’s guessing that malivore will inevitably open soon.

TheMarkmcr that is very very true but that I’d rather the plot move forward even if I get bored. On legacies there have only been like 5 episodes about the main plot out of 12 episodes. This is because of the monster of the week thing, which I really have no problem with I just wish we could get more backstory on these creatures that we have literally never heard of before.

I really hope they scratch the monster-a-week setup and delve into one creature/myth at a time. I would also love to learn more about the Gemini coven; the questions you brought up have been on my mind for a while as well!

@@tloj2469 what I should have said is that there needs to be a more healthy balance between the formats. You could have episodes that focus on problems in school and occasionally feature a throwaway monster, other episodes with more interesting monsters, and four to six episodes in any arrangement centered on the main villain of the season. Agents of shield (which is related to this show in a way) does it in a way where individual villains feature into the main plot, but it obviously isn't about high school students. The serialized plot format was also stronger in season 2, although it began to improve halfway through season 1. That might happen here as well, but keep in mind, all of the remaining episodes have been filmed or had their scripts approved by now.

I think they are still equal. But it does give Josie a bigger advantage knowing that she has more knowledge using offensive magic. Lizzie's power is not to be taken lightly too. Hope has never shown the power to wield powerful spells without the Hollows magic rather on Legacies or TO. I get people claiming Hope is POTENTIALLY Powerful but as of now she hasn't shown the level of power to actually defeat any opponent with a flick of the wrist like so many claims. Dahlia first born magic could barely overpower a Viking and Freya first born magic has consistently gotten overpowered by other witches. So Hope being first born doesn't mean much.

So why is it that they become 3 times more powerful because it’s 3 of them together when it’s really just Hope’s power. Hope should be able to do it alone right? It would make sense if the twins absorbed something else then help but absorbing hope shouldn’t. I’m probably way overthinking things.

Although Siphoners need to absorb magic from an external source (Hope in this case), their individual powers are felt through casting a spell. The spell they cast with Hope was not solely cast through Hope's magic. It was all three of them.
