The way I see it he’s still confusing the centuries in his head. Like the last thing he saw was Cassandra dying before his eyes and here was Lizzie the only person he cared about in the modern century in a dangerous place and he needed to make sure she was safe no matter the cost. He didn’t go about it the right way but what can I say. He needs therapy and to get use to the new century. Oh, and also time to mourn Cassandra.

Yeah i'm agree. What he did was definitely not right but i think he did this out of desperation also. He lost Cassandra and fucked him up big time and here he is in a new modern century abnd he falls for Lizzie who can die too and this time he saw an opportunity to save her (very selfish yeah)... this time he didn't have to lose anyone else. When she ran away and that found her he called her Cassandra. I think it's kinda a post traumatic thing, he brought him in the past so bad, the same situation over again and he got confused... i really think he is desperate, confused and selfish and i don't he realizes that what he did, taking this choice from her, was wrong. At least not yet. A therapy or something would be a good thing for him. I don't think he's necessarily evil (even though he can be very dangerous), i don't know.... but i think he's troubled you know...

@@lenajones6117 also that no one, including lizzie, knows a way to prevent the merge. So he sees it as her only chance of surviving. When it comes to saving someone's life, I don't think teenagers are the only people who would make impulsive decisions like this. Although sebastian may have ptsd, I don't agree that he is an inherently dangerous person. Cassandra, however, does scare me. She (possibly by using dark magic), willingly caused a massacre to protect sebastian after finding out that he had been killing villagers, managed to desiccate sebastian with magic and make it last for centuries without having a celestial event to bind the spell (supposed to be impossible, by the way), died in a way that doesn't match with what happened to the other guy at the beginning of the episode (weird), and apparently lizzie reminds sebastian of her. There's something disturbingly familiar about all of that...

We looked at tvd and early klaroline when these were men and we were idealistic preteens and it was romantic and tortured beyond what we humans would ever understand. Now we look at Sebastian as someone our age or younger (though immortally so) and were protective of Lizzie like a mother who thinks she deserves better

@Karishma Changlani He definitely should have died. In Mystic Falls during the anti-magic border we saw Elena drowning again, Damon and Stefan suffering from a bullet wound and almost dying. Hell we saw Tripp died because he became a vampire and had crossed the border. Sebastian should have died without hesitation, it doesn't make sense he's still here. He's not a major character so it's not really important but the writers didn't take care of the little details like that.

I am sure that Lizzie will become a heretic (because Jenny and most of the fans really want this and it will be like Caroline's story) but in the future , not now, i think that the car crash was just a cliffhanger for the end of the episode and Lizzie didn't die , because if she becomes a heretic now , this will be the solution to the merge and i think that it's too soon for this storyline to end , it won't make sense , because for example why wouldn't Caroline return if all this thing it's over (we know that Candice won't show up , at least for now). So yeah basically all i wanted to say is that I think Lizzie being heretic will happen but not now

As a 20 year old, i can safely say that this is the same thing Damon pulled with Elena before the Hybrid Sacrifice. BUT there was WAY less build up on these characters relationship and the delivery. Damon acted out of panic and it was almost time for her to be sacrificed and he was terrified of her dying, and so he did tge first thing he thought of. Sebastian PREPLANNED this. He knew she may say no to becoming a vampire, and decided he didnt care. He wanted her safe, yes, but he had time to think it through, plan and execute saud plan. Thats the difference. Damon acted on impulse and then self justified before addmitting he was wrong. Sebastian had a good minute of thought time and did this despite her wishes.
