31 Battalion was a light infantry battalion in the South African Army and SWATF. The battalion consisted of men recruited from the hunter-gatherer San people - thus becoming known as the "Bushman" Battalion. In this episode, Johannes du Toit, tells us of his road to the Reconnaissance Wing of this elite unit by discussing his picture album where we show the picture and he speaks about it. Dankie Koos, soveel eerlikheid in Johannes se weergawe rakende sy grensdiens ervarings. Ek was met 3 mnde grenskamp op Omega gestasioneer onder bevel van Maj. Upton in 1979 en my seksievoerder Sersant Swanepoel. Die respek teenoor reccies op die basis was met diepe nederigheid bewonder.
