In the perspective of a single composite mission, this documentary illustrates the major accomplishments of the Gemini two man space flights and the significance of these flights to the Apollo Program. This film includes outstanding photography of the Earth and man in space.

I used to watch these old documentaries as a kid. They really fired up the imagination.

Thanks for posting my father's film! He made many of these documentaries during his time at NASA. It is nice to see this one again after so many years.

In my opinion, the Gemini Program had to have been one of the most important if not the most important human spaceflight program undertaken by NASA. Most if not all the techniques we use today were developed on those 10 flights-rendezvous, docking, on time launches, long duration, EVA, etc. Apollo, Skylab, and Shuttle used all of those events. Plus the Gemini is a cool little sports car of a spacecraft!

funny how engines started right at 0:00 but actual lift off did not take place tell T+0:03 seconds

I stated my comment wrong. what I meant to say was it is funny how they started the engines at 0:00 instead of T-0:06 like they did with the Apollo and shuttle with actual lift off being at 0:00

Is that why liquid fueled rockets are safer then solid fuel rockets, because with solid fuel boosters, once they start you can't turn them off.

That's common for any liquid fueled rocket. The engines are fired to ensure they are running properly before the rocket is released. If the engines act up, the launch can be aborted with the rocket still bolted to the pad.

I dont know, if you were to enter a zone and play 700 dollars each time you enter, would you go back after doing everything you wanted and needed to in that zone?
