Grew up around there. Brought back many great memories.

I own the headlight off of steam engine #1116 from the port Morris New Jersey yard. The 462 Erie Lackawanna passenger train was built in 1922 and retired in 1953. Russell Lawrence of Port Morris was the engineer and the train was his favorite and he kept the headlight when the train was retired. I'm always looking for pictures or a video of this train.

Most beautiful building to me in the world. Some things are missing of course, but it still looks great.

Wouldn't it be the most LUXURIOUS tourist if steam Town relay the rails into Lackawanna train station and share with hotel packages 😀 😉????

That’s typical a Steamtown excursion to Moscow. Of course there’s no steam. Why would there be?

You clearly didn't watch all of the video.

@@SantaFeAllTheWay admittedly, no I didn’t. Steamtown used to be a destination. They had the 2317, 3254, and 26 operating. Now, only the 26 is operating. I’ve been waiting for the B&M 3713 to operate since 1999, and nothing. I was on the excursion nobody talked about. Riding behind the 3254 to Delaware Water Gap, the train stopped at cresco for a boxed lunch. When the 2317 came around the curve and slammed into the rear of the 3254’s stopped train. Myself and my kids were thrown around. My hand was busted up pretty good, kids were fine. Since then Steamtown offered me free tickets on any and every excursion indefinitely. Their lack of steam has caused me not to go on any excursion for years. The last one was the ice train to Tobyhanna several years ago.
