One nitpick I have with this list is I really hate Grove of the Burnwillow in a Dark Depths deck without Punishing Fire. This should be a Karplusan Forest IMO, since the difference between the opponent being at 21 vs being at 20 is huge, way bigger of a difference than you being at 19 rather than 20. It means instant speed Marit Lage no longer wins against Jace, Teferi, Liliana, Prismatic Ending, Council's Judgment, Flickerwisp, etc. and it's a turn slower of a clock vs everybody else.

Great league! I recommend trying a version that uses an Urza's Saga package instead of Dark Depths and Crop Rotation. Saga is great for the grindy matches where you can't get Zombie tokens online. IDK what's the big deal. This is just mono-G lands, kinda has always done the same thing. Until recently people used to run a single manabond as a 5thish exploration. I do like red for gamble tho'. @killme30432 жыл бұрын
Few reasons: 1) Different name for Field of the Dead 2) Comes in untapped (You can't afford a tapped land on t1 especially) 3) Opp has to play around you having fire, even if you don't actually have it 4) It casts every spell in the deck 5) You don't *have* to tap it for colored mana. The games you lose to them not dying instantly to depths will be vastly fewer than the number of times you lose because you didn't have a green source to cast a one drop on t1, or the other name you needed for field.

I enjoyed the video, thanks. I do wonder if the deck shouldn't just have 3-4 Dark Depths maindeck, because most games you won, you won by just assembling the Dark Depths combo early. I get that theoretically you can also win via Wasteland-lock and Field of the Dead, but those seemed more like secondary plans. That said, I do understand that one league is a small sample size.
