Legacy putting Jhiaxus out year 1 was proof that we were gonna get some good and deep cuts with this line and I'm still here for it.

Im glad that you too, realized that Jhiaxus is so good at pulling off those evil scientist "hands folded behind the back" and "gesturing in a curt but still somehow grandiose way with one hand" poses. It feels almost like those were the reference poses used for the digial mockup. Like they SCULPTED him that way and then posed him for the key art after.

Both Jiaxus and Tarn were characters that I wouldn't have expected a toy for and when they got it it was great all around.

My copy of Jhiaxus has yellowed at the hips, but I decided to include that in my lore. He has a Cybertronian decease that- similar to cosmic rust- corrodes the victim. However, it does it a lot slower. Jhiaxus had been slowly dying for years, and has dedicated his life's work to curing himself and eradicating the disease. Shockwave had been experimenting with creating a new species of Cybertronian known as the pretenders. He did this by mutating Cybertronians using Alien DNA. He stopped this project when he went to work with the Decepticons. But during the events of the war, Jhiaxus found many of Shockwave's labs, and continued where he left off. Believing this mutation to be a potential cure. Eventually, after the war ends, Shockwave is on the run and returns to his labs, only to find Jhiaxus occupying them. They cut a deal. They'll work on finishing the Pretender project together. Jhiaxus will get his cure, Shockwave will have evolved the Cybertronian species, and everybody wins. But things get complicated...

no joke I went out of my way to read the original G2 comics and gained a whole desire for this figure. He looks like he jumped out of the old comics and it staggering that Hasbro did this. Side note I like putting the smaller gun on his left leg and imagine it being ankle holstered

Back in the ancient past times of 2022, honestly expected them to get a Marvel Thunderwing mash up of this guy.. especially given the pretender heavy first year of legacy. The ship profile works, the proportions work, and he even has hinged hands for Matrix Questing. But alas no dice as yet, not even in a rumoured upcoming squad of mayhem attacking..

Unless United ends up pulling a truly amazing surprise, Jhiaxus is absolutely going to be my #1 Legacy Voyager. Happy to see someone acknowledge the sick hipskirt technique the mold uses. Tarn doing the same thing was the first time I recognized two figures as having the same designer without having to look at tfwiki

Ahh yes! Great bod mode, decent ship mode, but that accurate pearly plastic keeps me wary. Could be cool if they did a 'Shattered Glass using Grimlock Colours' or 'What if G1 in Omega Supreme colours (but with shiny Diaclone tech stickers)'

Not only is there talk of photodegradation, which I can sadly confirm on the hip skirts of mine, but a few people I've spoken to seem to have the idea that the yellow is supposed to be almost highlighter bright but I look at mine, and yours and go "eh?"

I find on mine that the yellow is HIGHLY dependent on lighting conditions. In one room he is super bright fluorescent yellow, in another he is a duller gatorade green.

I knew that Vangy would give his thought on Year One Legacy Jhiaxus at some point, figure that I had to wait for year as Wave 2 of Year One Legacy came in 2023; around February-March came Wave 2 Deluxes while Wave 2 Voyagers and Core Classes came in around July-August. Seeing how in course of last year Wave 3 of Year One Legacy didn't show up, I hate predict that for 2024 I get to see them but at same time I'm hving feeling the arrival of Legacy Evolution but then I have prediction that in here we skip it and jump on Legacy United.

As far as I can tell that greenish tint is just a batch color that was there from brand new. Mine had it since I bought it at Wal Mart two years ago and it's the same as it was then. It's also only the hip joints so I don't think it's that weird discoloration problem.

This might sound crazy but hear me out - With some *heavy* retooling, wouldn't this mold would make a pretty convincing G1 Starscream? Might be a little weird proportionally, but if they put in the work, I could see it being better than the Earthrise one we've got.

Sadly my Jhiaxus is one of those that looks like he's pissed himself after the last two years. It's ONLY his hip joint panels though so now he looks like he's wearing a jockstrap and it's almost hilarious.

Robot mode is so perfect, aside from the blank white with no paint. Jet mode looks so good.....until you see the boxes of arms underneath. Why do all G1 planes do this? Then people complain about stuff like movie starscream having some underjunk.
