"Legal" Immigration speech by "Teddy" Roosevelt

Great video on a speech by our 26th U.S. President “Teddy” Roosevelt. These were the days when speeches were “Genuine” and not some “Two-Faced” rhetoric. The emphasis was on "Legal" not "Illegal" immigration. If you are a TRUE American, then you would agree with his speech. If you don’t agree, then you don’t belong here is the USA and should go back to your country.

All the immigrants who I know that immigrated to the U.S. illegally believe this and are grateful for the opportunity to become an American. It's the ones who came here illegally who are constantly talking trash about the U.S. and talk about how great and beautiful their home country is. I simply ask them to which they have NO answer is "If your home country is so great and beautiful, Why did you leave?"

Kind of means you forget your past heritage and take up your new American one. It's an all or nothing approach. It was never going to work because the country was founded on the opposite of that. Welcoming people of all kinds who have the freedom to live the way they want to live without being oppressed. In countries like Poland, Hungary, Russia, Italy, the nationalistic approach works because the make up of the gen pop. is far less diverse. In America, it cannot work, as there would be a sense of discrimination to one of the many foreign populations that reside here.
