Every new government formation has attempted to cover up more things than the last guy in office or the amount in the last term. The only people as it seems who are willing to change the status-quo of covering things up seems to be either Independents or Libertarians (the political view as a whole not just the political party). So much information is covered up by the US Government it seems like the president isn't even the one in power since I believe Donald Trump said he'd declassify 9/11 information during the election but as far as I'm aware he's not done any of that so he's either a liar like all the previous presidents or he isn't running the government and it's actually the CFPB [or some other oganisation] (Consumer Finance Protection Beaurau ) - an Obama led gov. organisation which was unconstitutionally set up so that the president can't appoint it's leader...

OBJECTION: I have a question regarding how he’s not allowed to talk with his lawyer about what’s in the book as from the perspective of contract law, which presumably he may not be as proficient in as a lawyer. especially if he believes the decision the government is making is based on false claims of classification since Knight already claimed it was fine, which could arguably support that conclusion. In that case what legal aid is presented for the person, since he has a right to a lawyer. The courts and government are separate entities for a reason, so based on that how can the government sensor what is said between a lawyer and their client. I understand the classification issue but in that case what systems are put in place for such a situation. Is there lawyers with the necessary clearance, can they be objective when they are beholden to the government for that clearance? What is the process for a lawyer gaining security clearance? And if there isn’t currently a system in place in your expert opinion (such that it is) what would you recommend?
@paullees66874 жыл бұрын
NAL but as long as someone's willing to foot the bill anyone can apply for a security clearance. It would actually be very marketable for a law firm to hold a clearance for situations like this. But there needs to be a justifiable reason to be read onto the firm to the specific info. Secure compartmentalized info is only authorized to distribute to those on a strict need to know basis and the original classifying authority for said info has the control to authorize distribution. As it stands obviously not one person ever reads over court documentation. Interns, aids, paralegals all get access to this info. With this in mind usually it poses a serious breach of security if secure info can be distributed to anyone without a classification. You don't even need "mens rea" if you were told some shit without the context of "hey be careful this is secret info" beforehand. Attorney-client privilege I guess could keep any government agency from directly asking if they were given classified info so that membrane-thin veil could conceivably save you. But generally speaking it's not great to rely on that.

NDA's have too many consequences. My dad was Army Cryptography in the 60's and 70's, Kodak service technician after that. Before he died from cancer he spent an evening talking to a "kid" I grew up with who had a certain standing in the Marine corps. What he told me and my brothers after my father passed was upsetting, vague, and curious. No honest details beyond one incident, but a lot of trips during certain times that made us scratch our chins as we picked over what we could in our memories. All I really know is I didn't know everything my dad was, but I remember him as a good man who had secrets. We cannot get his service uniform, most of what we can get is redacted. The government my father served knows how well he served them, but the same logic behind NDA's wipes away all good or bad evidence of that governments history. I guess my dad just worked on equipment, but he also saw the photos of countless people just fixing a central printer for photography development centers at Kodak around the world in the 70's through the 90's. The only way someone like me could learn more is to find a living witness who would talk to me, but they seem to die off over time...

As an italian i'm amazed by the level of immunity the POTUS has, with Berlusconi the prosecutors just went ahead and put him on trial.
@garethbaus54714 жыл бұрын
The position isn't meant to have this level of immunity, its more that an entire political party is also supporting him in other parts of the government basically stopping most forms of action against him.

@matthewbertrand41394 жыл бұрын
Nah. Most songwriters don't copyright the titles of their songs. In fact, most of them wouldn't qualify for copyright as they're just regular phrases. Had he stolen the musical content itself, then yes.

At most you can trademark names. Trademarks only apply within a trade. You can't make your own operating system called Windows but you could probably make a beverage named Windows. I say probably because sometimes exceptions are made for national and global names.
