Ive only been smoking cigars for around 11 months and I haven't had a hobby in yrs I've enjoyed as much as I do smoking cigars. So thank you for what you do Tim.

As a 70 year old who has worked hard all my adult life I hate it when people half my age try to tell me what is best for me . I find smoking a cigar or a pipe of good tobacco a great benefit to me I have 2 chest problems COPD and fibrosis but a highly enjoyable smoke helps to regulate my breathing and to relax. My doctor said he doesn’t know what I’m doing but it’s working so keep it up . He knows I smoke and we have talked about it I have educated him on the differences of tobacco ( the lack of rubbish they put into them) . Although I’m in England and our government think they know better I’m glad that yours is finally starting to listen.

More and more I'm in awe of the artistry and the culture of cigars. The 300 pairs of hands thing, family owned companies, being only handmade, not being highly problematic with kids, etc.

I started smoking cigars back in Feb of this year. I found it funny when I went for my annual check up and they asked do you smoke. I told my doctor that I smoke cigars and he said that didn’t count.

I started smoking cigars and working at a lounge in 2017. The paranoia that the shop would close because of the FDA was real

I joined CRA today. I agree with what you say and I am a new (65+ year old) cigar aficionado :)

It’s so great that you have politicians willing to take a stand on this. I live in a country where politicians think that they can tell an adult how to live their life and tax ALL tobacco at $1550/kg, regardless of whether it’s a cigarette, pipe, short filler or an Opus X. This translates into most cigars being over $50 each with many being in the $60-80 mark.

Thank god for CRA, & GRA . They've both fought to protect the rights of grown people to be grown people. Suggest every cigar lover, and gun owner join both these groups.

We need this in Australia. The tobacco tax just went up to around $2000 per kilo. 80% of the price of cigars is tax. You’d be hard pressed to find a robusto sized cigar for less than $50 in this current climate

Would this bill affect cigars in tins or cigarillos as well? Like the small ones made by macanudo, Monte Cristo, Liga, etc? I believe they are machine made, but they still use premium tobacco

How many chemical additives are in cigarettes opposed to cigars?

Gee wiz fellas, we've got some wins under our belt, but the threat is always there. This bill from Byron Donalds is so important. Definitely support this channel/add some comments if you love smoking premium cigars. Some of the best moments I've ever had with my dad have been over a cigar. I'm healthy, don't smoke cigarettes and enjoy cigars immensely. If you do too, then donate to the CRA and contact your legislatures. It does work, we still do have a functioning system... at times.

I wonder if this will somehow help to alleviate the ridiculous 75% penalty tax on cigars in NYS?

Time to celebrate this ruling with an H99 cigar😜👍🏼

I wish that they would propose a bill to abolish these excise taxes in certain states. I'm in Colorado and it's almost unaffordable for me to buy cigars in Colorado. I know it is federal, and the excise is state, but one can dream :)

A nanny state under the stupid government who cannot deal with real daily issues that are to lengthy to note. A chance to oust these idiots and bring in strong leadership which was proved 8 years ago. Do you have a TRUMP brand cigar.
