Clips of Legate Damar from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Yes, I'm not that great at this sort of thing yet, but I hope the clips are enjoyable anyway. Deep Space Nine is the property of Paramount still I think, but who knows. Anyway, this is just for fun.

I like to think that Damars biggest regret was that he didn't have a camera recording at the time. If he did, he'd have that clip of Worf snapping Weyouns neck set so it shows every time he turns on his computer in the morning. Something to cheer him up at the start of the day.

@paulengler9726

earlier in the episode where Damar shoots Rusat, he had received the news of the Dominion finding and executing his wife and kids. Kira's painful mocking of his question, "What kind of people give those orders?" forced him to recognize that the Cardassians were once much like the Dominion in how they treated Bajorans. His line, "his Cardassia's dead, and it's not coming back," is both an acknowledgement and apology to Kira for how her people were treated during the occupation. He wasn't just acknowledging the facts. part of what I love about DS9 is that the character growth goes hand-in-hand with how different races' viewpoints of eachother change. This was an important moment for Kira, former Bajoran resistance fighter, and Damar, former Cardassian oppressor-turned-resistance-fighter.

Recently there was a kids show called Transformers Prime (spoilers for it ahead btw)... At the end of the show, after spending the final arc of the series possessed and controlled by Unicron (the Transformers devil), Megatron is freed by the Autobots and helps banish Unicron. Once all is said and done, the remaining Decepticons turn to him to start their war anew and the Autobots quickly put their guard up. However, Megatron stops them... He declares the war over and the Decepticons disbanded, then turns to Optimus Prime and says, "I now know the true meaning of oppression, and thus have lost my taste for inflicting it." That's what Damar went through here.

...I always liked to see Jeffrey Combs act in these shows, whatever alien race/antagonist they had him play... ...his portrayal of Weyoun made that character an excellent villian, and his portrayal of Brunt of the F.C.A. (Ferengi Commerce Authority) was a brilliantly nuanced prefomance, being an excellent foil to Quark, bringing the right amount of humor to a bad guy and adversarial situation... ...but I really think that the best part he played was in the series "Enterprise", as Commander Thy'lek Shran of the Andorian Imperial Guard, that was a great character... ...they always gave Jeffrey Combs good characters to play, and he did a good job portraying them...
